"If we live in a world where Ohio State and Michigan rest their starters for that game at the end of the season, because they've got the potential of five playoff games still sitting in front of them, then college football, as we have known it, ceases to exist." - Mike Greenberg

@UNLVRebelGrl @TBM_JY @1BroncoBeliever Yes, and I’ll take it a step further. We need to part ways with those schools. The G6 could become the G2 or G3 if we narrow it down to schools that are actually interested in competing at the highest level.

When App State upset #5 Michigan in The Big House. Biggest upset in CFB history.

Thinking out loud here… Fox is openly pushing for a 24-team CFP because the money is there for them. Which network is pushing for a G6 playoff? Maybe ESPN, but they have sole rights to the 12-team model, and they’d rather have one more big brand if they can. If the money was there, the historically dominant and/or growing programs would openly advocate for it, right? Why would Boise State, who has 17+ 10-win seasons and multiple BCS/NY6/CFP appearances/wins, want a G6 playoff? Tulane? USF? Marshall? JMU? Memphis? Fresno? Toledo? UNLV? I’m sure we can get Boise’s opinion pretty easily … @JeramiahDickey I can see why consistently 6-6 G6 teams, maybe CUSA/MAC would be open to a G6 playoff, but the best G6 teams are the loudest voices against it.
