I don’t promote vulgarity very often but I’ll make an exception for this. Anyone promoting a G6 playoff either has no idea that it would relegate those teams to obscurity or they know and are trying to remove the annoying & persistent thorn from their side that is the G6

They both already have their own championship. The whole purpose of FCS is to allow teams that want to contain costs to compete for a national championship.

Boise State will never win a championship in the CFP, NO G6 program will every win the CFP.....EVER!!!!! So never playing for anything or playing for an actual legitimate championship at the G6 level, sounds pretty good to me and I would believe 80% of G6 program fans and boosters.

@ckieser13 It was enough at large bids to ensure an 8 win JMU would get a bid every time. Nonetheless, you never saw a 9/10/11 win team pull their starters. It’s a silly concern.

If they want to compete in a lower level playoff, then they should play FCS. FCS was created specifically for that purpose. @Zigmanfreud @Timsurfs Following that logic, we also shouldn’t have a 12 team playoff. JMU beat ranked VT at the start of the 2010 season and it was meaningless. VT swept the ACC and got a BCS auto bid. That VT team would have received a bid even in a 12 team playoff with a loss to 6-5 FCS JMU.

UCONN (all sports or no deal) 5. UNM 6. ULL 7. USM 8. Hawai'i (after they get their new stadium) 9. USF (travel and they need to do better outside of football) 10. Sac State (only after several years of DOMINATING the MAC as well as doing A LOT better in basketball and baseball) Non fb members: 1. SMC 2. UCSB 3. UCI 4. UCONN (FB only) 5. CSF 6. LBSU If your school is not on the list then go away.

The PAC couldn’t lure any AAC members or post-GOR MWC members, so you got a football program that went 59-100 during its time in the SBC. The money isn’t there for the AAC teams. The MWC GOR means the money isn’t there for them either.

This x100, it seems that the only folks wanting a G6 playoff format are the ones who may not have access to the CFP or who may have that one good season. Many Beaver and Cougar fans are against it, and I haven’t seen a single Boise State fan in support of it either. One point I brought up and nobody will say is IF there is a G6 playoff format in the winner of that playoff dubbed a national champion?

@joeflaccoburner @CollegeFBonX The purple jersey and gold pants with gold helmet was the classic home uniform for many, many years. 5 is more classic with the JMU block logo on the helmet. For some reason, our branding shifted to purple and white with gold accents in the 2010s.

@CollegeFBonX The crazy thing that a lot of people don’t appreciate is that was possibly JMU’s worst team in the last 20 years against a VT team that went undefeated in conference and won the ACC. It wasn’t a good FCS team. Crazy upset.
