I think people are telling on themselves about the CFB regular season. We’re obsessed with how losses impact the top teams as though that’s the only thing that matters. You know what a 24-team field does? Makes SO MANY MORE games matter for so many more teams.

The fact that Nolan chose zero Greeks is kind of a slap in the face to source material. The Northman had Alexander Skarsgard play the lead and the Odyssey couldn’t throw one bone to Greece.

The SEC would see the smallest marginal benefit from an expansion to 24. You can model this.

@PenguinOfTroy Wins AND losses. If they don't matter, why play the season. Skip straight to 24.

Tne ACC, Big 12 and ND now support the B1G’s 24-team Playoff. The SEC is the last holdout. If they cave, say goodbye to the greatest regular season in sports. If you love college football, it’s time to stand up and make your voices heard. nytimes.com/athletic/72777…

@UNLVRebelGrl @TBM_JY @1BroncoBeliever Yes, and I’ll take it a step further. We need to part ways with those schools. The G6 could become the G2 or G3 if we narrow it down to schools that are actually interested in competing at the highest level.

I love college football. I think P4 teams that go 11-1 in regular season deserve a CFP berth.

You could double the number of teams that make the college football playoff and still be 20% less than the most exclusive playoff format of the other big leagues.

ACC commissioner Jim Phillips said ESPN does not want playoff to expand past 16 teams. “ESPN’s made it clear, they want it to stay at 12 or 14, but no more than 16,” Phillips said.
