Thanks to @wasd20Nate for all the helpful cartography videos. This is my first attempt at a hand-drawn world map for my D&D group. It’s far from perfect but the tutorials were amazing and my players loved it. Thanks for a great experience, I’m hooked!

Finished with the knitting of my linen stitch blanket, just need to wash it and put it on the rack. If I’ve done my maths correctly; 3381 yards, 1234 grams of Wool of the Andes Sport. I used 5mm needles.

@JustinMcElroy “I Am Santa Claus” was an unexpected joy for me. Admittedly, it doesn’t have great ratings but I laughed, I cried, and I learned more about professional Santas than I could have imagined. It’s a lovely story about quirky individuals.

Is there a lighthearted/bizarre slice-of-life documentary you love so much you wish you could erase it from your mind and watch fresh? We need more to watch.

Remote/hybrid learning has been difficult for parents, students, and teachers. But I just watched a student lob a plunger at his house for his virtual PE class (which, by the way, was NOT his assignment) and it might be the best thing I’ve ever watched.

@JenniferCheek We had someone forget they weren’t muted and take a phone call... “Yeah, yeah, I’m in a meeting and I don’t want to be here.” The presenter was FLOORED. The offender made the excuse she had an appointment and left. 😂

@PaulGarvey4 Last time I met with my kids last Friday, we went over 1) ways to tell if news is exaggerating 2) ways to stay healthy and 3) answering questions they had. From the look in some of their eyes, it was the first time an adult had said “I love you and everything will be okay.”

Well, here we are at the start of ‘who knows’ week, but the urn is on & ☕️is a-plenty! If we get to the end of the week and schools are still open, what do you have planned, early birds? Stay safe out there and do the very best you can, as always, for some worried kids!👍

After visiting an Elementary School, I learned that if you ever want an unfiltered and brutally honest opinion just ask any 5, 6 or 7-year-old, because they are still too young to know that they should lie.

@rhpsnelles @NicholasFerroni Omg, one of my sixth grade students told me all about his dad’s “medicine garden” in the woods that no one was supposed to know about because “the man was trying to shut him down.” 😂

@NicholasFerroni They also don't filter out what goes on at home. I remember hearing about a kindie who talked about his dad's 'special garden', under the basement stairs. There were special lights, and nobody could help like they did in the outside garden.

In my experience, many angry people are just people waiting for the moment that someone, anyone will give them permission to have a choice fucking cry.
