Two C-130s landed on that runway, along with three Little Bird helicopters. The helicopters flew to the mountain, rescued the Weapons Officer, and returned him to the airstrip. The tyres of the MC130J got stuck; the US sent in three other planes and evacuated everyone. The US Air Force then destroyed the abandoned planes and helicopters. All this while assets were engaging Basij and regular units, as well as others who sought to reach the runway and mountain. CIA also spread a rumour that the Americans were moving him by road, leading many to rush to the road location, causing traffic chaos. All this in 48 hours.

They dont have pilots and planes dedicated just for that task and they cant afford to lose lots of planes. Not to mention electronic warfare

The US flew in, built a secret US base, landed 2 C130s ran 35 miles to a distant mountain, rescued a severely injured pilot from the mountain travelling 35 miles back by foot across open plain, while engaged in massive night time fire fight. Tried to take off in 2 c130s that got stuck in airport. Kept battling until more troops came and took them away, then blew up the C130s in air.

I do not rule out that Russia has secretly supplied Iran with new air defense systems to replace those destroyed in the early days of the war. Reports that Russia is sharing intelligence with Iran and supplying it with drones and components have been confirmed.
