Imagine this scenario: $TAO rips to $3000 in the span of a month. Subnets dip hard during that time bc everyone wants to be in TAO to take profits. The ones who stubbornly hold their subnet tokens during this time will be down so significantly in TAO tokens that they feel like they can’t sell the subnets now. Maybe they had 50% or 60% more TAO tokens before they started investing in subnets. They think “how can I sell here? I have to hold until my subnets come back”. Sure enough - a a few months later, subnet prices recover, but now $TAO price has crashed to sub $1k due to the bear market having kicked in and it’s going lower every day along with the rest of crypto. Now they’re thinking “what’s the point of swapping back to TAO now? I missed my opportunity to take profits. Might as well hold now. This is how round trips happen. And they are devastating to a person’s emotional health. Trust me. I was that guy in 2021. I round tripped a multi million dollar bag back down to $250k at its lowest point in 2022. I assure you. Not a good feeling. Don’t think this can happen to you? Think again. This happens to most participants in the crypto space. It seems to me like we are moving quickly now into the final blast off phase for crypto. Be very careful out there guys. The best case scenario is that Tao rips and subnets prices Rip along with it. But that is far from guaranteed.
