Data scraping on Grass Network which is literally the lifeblood of their whole model just hit an all-time low. - June: ~1,000–1,200 TB scraped per day - but now its barely scraping 100 TB/day What does this actually mean for the price? Quick refresher: Data scraping = gathering public web data using users’ unused bandwidth, which Grass then sells to AI companies (rumor is, ~$1 per GB — if you believe it). So, less data scraped = less data to sell = less revenue coming in. Simple math. Grass is spinning it as “we’re optimizing for higher-value, targeted data, so we don’t need bulk scraping anymore.” Sounds cute, but the numbers aren’t just down.. they’re nuked. Dropping to 1/10th isn’t optimization, that’s a straight-up collapse. And honestly, in this market, you want to see projects ramping up activity, not bleeding out usage stats. If your data pipes are drying up while everything else is scaling, it’s not a bullish look. Maybe it’s “optimization.” Or maybe users are just scraping elsewhere now. 👀 Either way, I’m not buying the copium. Wouldn’t touch this with size until those scraping numbers actually turn back up.
