@mikefromsubject Crushed it! That half-marathon performance was stellar. You not only showed up, you gave it everything you had.

Flew from Ibiza to LA and ran a half marathon on no sleep. Why? Because I made a commitment, and I don’t flake. Being late and backing out are my biggest pet peeves. Show up. Even if it hurts.

@mikefromsubject All that matters is what's best for the business. Either you make the right decision, or you make the wrong one and learn from it. No ego. Just results.

A lot of people assume I’m anti-teacher. I’m not. I co-founded @AlphaSchoolATX because I believe teachers deserve better tools and kids deserve a system that doesn’t hold them back or leave them behind. The traditional model fails both. So we built something better.

@yashchitneni Moodle would be a *fascinating* project to work on. Having implemented it as early as 2004, I can attest to the innovation it *used* to have, and how important open source alternatives in the LMS space are to our schools.

I landed on this because I'm currently pondering which project to work on for this week. Our challenge is to rewrite Enterprise Legacy code, as a way for us to showcase that AI First Engineering is not solely focused on made from scratch code. Rather, it's also a way to integrate into existing, massive blocks of code. The main requirement is to select something that has over 1 million lines of code and work off that codebase. Since making a change in one area will likely impact other areas. This will test our mettle in being able to replicate this into companies we start working with. And my current three choices to pick from are either education, health, or solopreneur/small-business related. Broad-scope. Those are the three fields that I actively care about providing solutions in. The one I came across for education is Moodle. It's an LMS. And my first thoughts went towards how can I build an LMS that's personalized learning without having an instructor and rather self-driven. (That's also partially why we built meetcurio.app) And I find it interesting that solutions are all geared towards learning but punting out the 'teaching' aspect.

I know course bois get a lot of grief on here. But so many people built a valuable business living out the "To teach is to learn twice" model. Now with AI, I feel we're about to lose that sector. Since learning feels more directed via LLMs.

Introducing Children of Singularity, my first ever game build. Space Trash collecting with an AI twist... Entirely built in Godot, with robust deployment pipeline, completely custom assets, 3D rendering, collision, banking/tilting support, and animations. A lot to do in 3 days, but so much more to show you! Hope you enjoy :)

@therealprady Couldn’t agree more. As the gap between concept and execution is eliminated, it’ll be fascinating to see what people create.

We’re ready to go! Tonight at 6 PM Central we’re going live to show you what Gauntlet AI challengers built during this Open Source week. Spoiler: it’s pretty crazy. I’m still wrapping my mind around what’s possible in a single week.

Welcome to the era of “brainrot” education. With AI, you can learn calculus from Sydney Sweeney or have Taylor Swift explain what a Taylor series is. "It makes me think, to what extent are we going to see standalone AI Edtech products versus new formats and ways to learn that are delivered across all of the platforms that we already have." @venturetwins, @omooretweets & @zachcohen25 explain:

This isn't an update or another tool. It's a wake-up call. subject.ai is here—a system that actually understands how students learn and how teachers operate. We're not here to support learning. We're here to POWER it.

We backed the @TrySubject team for their bold vision to reimagine how students learn and how teachers teach. Today, they’ve taken a major step forward with the launch of subject.ai, a powerful AI-driven platform built for educators. Subject.ai includes AI grading, homework help, teacher assistants, and real-time dashboards - all built to give teachers the bandwidth and energy to focus on what matters most: teaching, mentoring, and inspiring students. Congratulations @chicagovilardo, @joelhames, and the rest of the Subject team on this next phase of growth!
Mike Vilardo@mikefromsubject

It’s official: subject.ai is here! We’re so proud to hard launch our AI-powered tool designed to enhance teaching and learning. Think of subject.ai as an operating system that will empower the heroes of our society - teachers - to help more students, more effectively, than ever before. Subject.ai includes: - Spark AI Teachers Assistant - Spark AI Homework Helper - ExplainThis - AI Grading - AI Powered Dashboards By analyzing and understanding how educators do their jobs, subject.ai turns insights into action - and gives educators precious time back for teaching and mentoring. Our goal is to be the Netflix of Education, and AI is a huge part of that goal. We’re thrilled to see how subject.ai will improve the lives of our amazing students and teachers 🔥 @joelhames @TrySubject
