With security and proper implementation of programmes like PDM, Lango and Uganda will accelerate wealth creation for all.

I join the family of Capt.Francis Babu to mourn the passing of my brother, my close friend and comrade in the struggle, Cedric Babu, who passed away yesterday in Nairobi. Cedric stood out amongst his peers as an individual who had a rich and wide spectrum of talents. He had a passion for sports in which he excelled. He played tennis with a skill that made him amongst the best that our country has ever produced. Cedric was a businessman and was equally successful there at a young age. He was a nationalist and a patriot. Where many children of Uganda's elite families eschew politics, Cedric had the courage to participate in the governance of his country. He won the NRM primaries for the Kampala Central parliamentary seat in the last elections against more experienced rivals. Even though he lost in the general elections, he never gave up the struggle. Cedric was an optimist always thinking about tomorrow, a better tomorrow. He is survived by a wife and three handsome boys who love sports like their father did. It is for all these talents and many more that I appointed him Vice Chairman for Kampala on the Central Committee of PLU. He was a great addition to the team and we shall miss him immensely. May his soul rest in eternal peace.

@Anite__Evelyn @mofpedU @ugandainvest Sis, this is nothing to boast about. Uganda is over one century late in the automobile industry. These are just parts manufactured from else where and the value addition to the Ugandan economy is almost zero.

This afternoon, I met with the Education Policy Review Commission, led by Col. (Rtd) Nuwe Amanya Mushega, at State House to discuss transformative reforms in Uganda’s education system. I emphasised the need for a life-oriented education that equips every child by the age of 16 with the skills and values to contribute meaningfully to society. Since its establishment in 2021, the Commission has worked diligently to reshape our education system through comprehensive research and global benchmarking, engaging all stakeholders to recommend valuable changes. I am pleased to have received their revolutionary proposals. Our post-colonial education system has strayed from traditional practices, focusing too much on memorisation rather than practical skills. It's time for change to close the gaps in quality and relevance. I look forward to discussing this report further with the cabinet for implementation.

Dear Hon Sam Kutesa, We thank God through the Doctors in Germany for restoring your health, to beat cancer is no easy feat … building a church in our country as a gesture to give thanks is also very commendable. As our Motto suggests, for God and my country, I want to believe you did it in good faith and you did what at the time you believed is right. As a person with influence, power and money to help other people who can’t fly out to Germany or afford the high cancer treatment costs, I pray the same God through the Doctors in Germany that got you out of your situation gives you more wisdom, grace and the conviction to support the @UgandaCancerIns in every way possible complete it’s ongoing expansion of the institute that will make it one of the biggest and most efficient institute in the region to help other suffering Ugandans who can’t access the treatment you got abroad. Bring Germany to Uganda. I have been to the Cancer institute on many visits as I treated my late father and I must say it needs all the support it can get bse it has very good doctors who are overwhelmed in all departments. God has given you a second chance, I believe it’s a wake up call for you to do what was supposed to be done long ago as a leader because I know you are well aware of the terrible state of the Health sector in the country. Use this second chance wisely to fully give thanks to God because he has given you the opportunity to know what is needed to help others, You did it for God, now do it for your country. For God and my Country 🇺🇬

Humanity really needed this sweet story today. Pope Francis was giving his regular papal service when this little girl with Down Syndrome got up and walked toward him. Security quickly went to bring the child back to her mother but Francis stopped them and asked the little girl to come sit by him. So she climbed up next to him and held his hand while he continued his homily.
