I am anything but a Tech fan, but I must say, this has risen to a point whereas if La Tech wins, COOSA may be liable for damages.
Tech can easily argue that this frivolous suit caused by the unwillingness to negotiate a sensible buyout has resulted in reputational damage as well as money lost in planning for two different football schedules. The Sun Belt may have a case as well. Not saying they would win, but they could tie up COOSA with more legal fees for the next several months.
COOSA has refused to negotiate at every step and are now playing legal jenga hoping that the bricks all fall down.
