my single best take and the best take in the universe is that western militaries must train a culture of sobriety. it's a major cultural flaw. zero leeway, no cope about letting "the boys relax". it's a psychologically devastating remnant of the past which bullshit luxury expo wars allowed us to keep. we know better. there is other and better joy to be found. do something meaningful for your soldiers, not something that gets them or others killed, which is the already obvious, but furthermore it just introduces mental processes that wrecks them for life. by definition it's the worst and most dangerous substance use. and the positives are entirely fake. it's self-inflicted damage.

Very few people who agree with both of these correct claims: A) The settler movement in the West Bank are modern-day fascists, and the Netanyahu government's implicit endorsement of the recent rein of terror there against Palestinians is not only morally repugnant but potentially catastrophic for the future of Israel and the region. B) The IDF did not systematically target civilians in the Gaza Strip and I still have no idea why that became consensus when it's pretty obvious to me that, even if the IDF were simply *indifferent* to civilian loss of life, they would have easily killed orders of magnitude more people than they actually did kill, and in a much shorter time frame. And it would not even really be that unusual for urban combat.

Rapid pace of innovation. WATCH: Lieutenant General Whitney testifies on the speed of innovation the Ukrainians have achieved against Russia, and what lessons we can learn from their fight. “Their level of innovation is out of this world.”

🔴 I made my 2nd Briefing Video on this very misunderstood War ➡️ The current mainstream narratives do not show the true dimension of what is actually happening right now ➡️ The initial phase of the War is now over Link to the YT-Video is in the 2nd tweet below ⬇️

Ali Larijani, deceased SNSC secretary, was ex-IRGC. His predecessor, Ali-Akbar Ahmadian, is IRGC. Their predecessor Ali Shamkhani was ex-IRGC. His predecessor Saeed Jalili was a hardline ex-Basij. Get it? Militarization of Iran's system and politics is a long-term trend.

Israel's missile defenses are at an degradation-stage that allows Iran to launch single missiles ➡️ Defeating even the last layer, the Iron Dome During True Promise 2 salvos were necessary to cause such desperate, low-PK, Tamir interceptor mass salvos

The "Iran is losing" narrative is tracking the wrong number. Yes, missile and drone launch rates are down 90%+. But hit rate (or confirmed impacts per projectile fired) has been climbing steadily since Day 1. A 🧵 on what the data actually shows.

We’ve seen charts like @DAlperovitch that shows Iran’s missile and drone launches decrease sharply over time, which suggests its ability to do damage is degraded. But scholars like @ka_grieco argue while that’s true, Iran’s hit rates have actually gone up as well as the economic value of the targets.

@johannglass @ka_grieco She has no idea what she is talking about Iran shifted to civilian targeting via cluster bombs The cluster bombs are hard to intercept because they break apart early but are indiscriminate in targeting and are less explosive. That is why it appears they are getting more hits
