@DropSiteNews You heard it here first The US is likely dealing with an IRGC commander who controls the strait. The "gift" they gave Trump was a ship they allowed to pass to prove they had command of the area and were serious The backing of this group will be the regime change

“The strategic power you used to talk about has turned into a strategic failure. The one claiming to be a global superpower would have already gotten out of this mess if it could. Don’t dress up your defeat as an agreement. Your era of empty promises has come to an end.” “Have your internal conflicts reached the point where you are negotiating with yourselves?” — Lt. Col. Ebrahim Zolfaghari, a spokesperson for the Iranian military’s Khatam Al-Anbiya Central Headquarters

🔺NEW: Spokesman for Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters addresses the U.S.: 🔹“Have your internal conflicts reached the point where you’re negotiating with yourselves?” 🔹“Don’t call your defeat an ‘agreement’. You will see neither your investments in the region nor previous energy and oil prices return.” 🔹“Until it is our will, nothing will return to how it was. That will only happen when the idea of acting against the Iranian people is completely erased from your minds.” 🔸“Our position from day one has been clear and remains unchanged: someone like us will never come to terms with someone like you — not now, and not ever.”

@ka_grieco @johannglass I appreciate the reply and your willingness to consider that. It's definitely the case for Israel, however, with the Gulf states I think your analysis is correct Once Iran "regrouped" after the initial strikes their strikes on infrastructure seemed to get more targeted

@kingsweapon @johannglass Fair pushback. That's a plausible hypothesis. To account for it, I coded each incident by weapon type. When I remove the cluster weapon incidents, the numbers still trend in the same direction.

The "Iran is losing" narrative is tracking the wrong number. Yes, missile and drone launch rates are down 90%+. But hit rate (or confirmed impacts per projectile fired) has been climbing steadily since Day 1. A 🧵 on what the data actually shows.

Let's see what the Gulf states will do. Will they start bombing Iran too? Because one thing is certain, they will not invade Iran, Arab armies have been embarrassed on the field too many times in modern wars for them to take that chance. I agree that attacking the GCC states may be a critical error, but it depends.

Dimona has one of the most heavily guarded airspaces in Israel, I assume that's why there's an IDF investigation now. People better recognise that Iran is competently executing an asymmetric warfare strategy. I would even go so far as to say this is the most formidable enemy the US has faced since Vietnam.

@johannglass @ka_grieco She has no idea what she is talking about Iran shifted to civilian targeting via cluster bombs The cluster bombs are hard to intercept because they break apart early but are indiscriminate in targeting and are less explosive. That is why it appears they are getting more hits

@ka_grieco This is not what is going on. They shifted to cluster bombs that are LESS precision and produce LESS damage but harder to intercept You have no idea what you are talking about here

🚨 NEW: IAEA chief Grossi’s ‘20%’ framing helped build the case for Trump’s regime-change war In early March, Steve Witkoff, key U.S. negotiator and Trump envoy, stated that Iran’s claim of using the Tehran Research Reactor (TRR) for “doing good for the Iranian people” (specifically for medical purposes) was a “complete and false pretense” to hide the fact that they were covertly stockpiling uranium there. “The [International Atomic Energy Agency] had evidence that they were stockpiling there and they had enough fuel to run TRR for the next seven or eight years without any additional fuel being delivered,” Witkoff said on The Mark Levin Show. “They were stockpiling again at the 20% level.” Witkoff alleged that IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi – who was part of the final round of talks – told Iran it had stopped “burning anything” at the reactor and that “all of the fuel is stockpiled,” calling it their “‘Perry Mason’ moment.” 👉 This claim was used as a primary justification for the U.S. and Israeli military strikes that began in late February 2026. In an interview today on CBS Face the Nation, Grossi — whose agency’s reporting was cited by the White House — leaned into the same rhetoric, stating that 20% enrichment is “a lot” and far beyond what would be expected under a zero-enrichment framework, reinforcing the premise behind U.S. claims about stockpiling. He also gave weight to the underlying argument presented by Witkoff, even as he added that the reactor “potentially could be used for radioisotope production” and that the IAEA does not assess intent, saying: “we don’t discuss honesty or dishonesty.” He again pressed the lack of access and “many unanswered questions,” leaving open the ambiguity that helped drive the case for escalation. But as reported by MS NOW, that framing omits key technical context: the Tehran Research Reactor requires 20% fuel by design, and under the JCPOA such fuel was permitted under strict limits and monitoring. Experts cited in the report say research reactors cannot enrich uranium and are not suited for weapons production, undercutting the way the 20% issue has been presented. And despite the claims, the Trump administration has not provided public evidence or intelligence to Congress to support the assertion that the reactor was being used for weapon development or illicit stockpiling. Nuclear experts and organizations like the Arms Control Association and the Vienna Center for Disarmament and Non-Proliferation have called these claims “confusing and misleading” and riddled with technical errors, as cited by MS NOW. And still, contrary to White House rhetoric about an “imminent threat,” Grossi once again repeated today that there is “no indication” that Iran has or has a systematic nuclear weapons program.

☢️ IAEA chief warns war cannot eliminate Iran’s nuclear program, urges return to diplomacy IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi said military strikes have “rolled back” Iran’s nuclear program but warned they cannot eliminate it, stressing that key capabilities and materials are likely to survive the war. ➢ Grossi said attacks on sites like Natanz, Fordow, and Isfahan caused “a lot of damage,” but impacts remain “relatively marginal” in the broader campaign. ➢ Enriched uranium remains: Iran’s stockpile of 60% enriched uranium — near weapons-grade — is still “under the rubble” or otherwise intact, posing a major unresolved risk. ➢ Knowledge cannot be bombed away: “You cannot unlearn what you’ve learned,” Grossi said, warning Iran retains the technical know-how and industrial capacity to rebuild, even after heavy strikes. ➢ No Weapons Program: The IAEA has not confirmed any weapons program, but claimed there were “many unanswered questions,” including undeclared nuclear material and restricted inspector access prior to the war. ➢ Military options: Grossi said seizing or removing nuclear material would be “very challenging,” citing hazardous materials, decoys, and complex facilities. ➢ Diplomacy still essential: He said a lasting solution requires the U.S. and Iran “back at the table,” noting talks were ongoing before the bombing and could still be revived. Grossi emphasized that inspections, and not military force, remain the only way to verify Iran’s program, warning that without a negotiated framework, the core issues will persist after the war.

🚨NEW: A senior Iranian official tells Drop Site’s Jeremy Scahill and Murtaza Husssin: “There aren’t any negotiations taking place. The Iranian side has simply communicated its conditions to [the U.S.] and even that has been done indirectly,” adding that U.S. messages have also only been passed through intermediary countries. 🔸 The same official said Iran’s conditions for ending the war include: 1. A simultaneous ceasefire in Iran, Lebanon, and Iraq, rejecting a limited deal like the 2025 “12-Day War,” which Tehran says was used to buy time for renewed attacks. 2. On missiles, the official said: “Given its defensive nature in countering Israel, this program will continue unchanged and with increased intensity in the event of a ceasefire… The missile program shall not be subject to negotiation under any prospective talks.” 3. On nuclear policy, the official said: “In light of the violations of international law by the United States, as well as Israel’s extensive attacks on nuclear facilities, Iran will formulate a new doctrine,” and that enrichment activities “will continue, either independently or in cooperation with China and Russia.” 4. On reparations: The official added Iran will pursue compensation for damages caused by U.S. and Israeli strikes in any future agreement. 🔸 Iranian officials say Trump’s public statements are aimed at stabilizing markets, with one official saying: “The fact that he publicly responds… is solely intended to manage the financial markets—nothing more.” 🔸 Trump, meanwhile, continues to insist talks are happening, saying his envoys held “very strong talks” and adding he won’t identify the Iranian contact because “I don’t want him to be killed.” 🔸 Iranian officials say U.S. messages, received through intermediaries, are inconsistent and “difficult to assess,” and any willingness to halt attacks appears to be “aimed at reassuring” intermediator countries and are “not taken seriously,” by Tehran. 🎥 @jeremyscahill discusses the latest report on @DanielLDavis1. 🔸Update: Pakistan emerging as key backchannel in potential U.S.–Iran talks Pakistan has positioned itself as a central intermediary between Washington and Tehran, with reports from various outlets confirming active efforts to facilitate contact amid the ongoing war. ▪️The Financial Times, citing two people briefed on the matter, said senior Pakistani officials have been relaying messages between Tehran and Witkoff and Kushner, with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif speaking multiple times with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian since the war began. ▪️Reuters said that U.S. Vice President JD Vance, envoy Steve Witkoff, and Jared Kushner expect to meet Iranian officials in Islamabad this week, following a call between Donald Trump and Pakistan’s army chief, Asim Munir. Drop Site’s sources have not confirmed this update. ▪️Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar also told Arab counterparts in Riyadh last week that Islamabad was mediating between the U.S. and Iran, according to a diplomat, who said Pakistan is effectively leading the current backchannel efforts, FT reported. FM Araghchi spoke with his counterpart once again today. ▪️One source in Islamabad told Drop Site contributor @worqas that Witkoff and Kushner are already in the Pakistani capital, though this has not been publicly confirmed.

🇵🇰 NEW: Amid reports that the U.S. is seeking to hold ceasefire discussions with Iran in Islamabad, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi spoke with Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar on Monday, with Pakistan’s readout saying the call focused on “regional developments” and underscored the “importance of dialogue and diplomacy” as the only viable path forward. Iran’s foreign ministry said the two ministers also discussed the “consequences of the continued military aggression by the United States and the Israeli regime against Iran,” and emphasized the “importance and necessity of preserving stability and lasting security in the region,” following talks earlier today between Iran’s president and Pakistan’s prime minister.

🇦🇪🚨NEW: UAE says ceasefire no longer a priority as focus shifts to confronting Iran 🔸UAE Foreign Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Abdullah bin Zayed, a senior member of the ruling family and a central architect of the country’s foreign policy, wrote on X today that UAE “will never be blackmailed by terrorists,” referring to the attacks from Iran. 🔸His comments come after Anwar Gargash, one of the UAE’s most influential foreign policy figures and diplomatic adviser to President Mohammed bin Zayed, stated that Abu Dhabi does not view an immediate ceasefire as the central objective, instead prioritizing “lasting security in the Arabian Gulf” in response to what he called “brutal Iranian aggression.” ➢ He said “our thinking does not stop at a ceasefire,” stressing the need to curb Iran’s nuclear program, missiles, drones, and control over the Strait of Hormuz. ➢ He said it is “inconceivable” to allow Iran to pose a “permanent state of threat” over the UAE and the Gulf. 🔸Gargash said Iran’s response is cementing Iran as a “central axis” in Gulf strategic thinking, adding that it will result in the “bolstering of our national capabilities and joint Gulf security” and “solidifying our security partnerships with Washington.”
