Is there a consensus view on which orgs have done distributed/multi-timezone work (remote, multi-office, etc) "best"? Who do you look up to (ie steal ideas from) on ways of working with global teams?

Been getting lots of questions on how we get our technology @ImpulseLabs_ into every home. We're starting by moving up the stack and partnering with existing appliance OEMs at scale -- getting us access to their existing (massive) distribution.

@EVStraya @ringsau @AmberElectricAU that'll do it, behind that project there's two streams of work: ensuring the app & optimisation does the right stuff and a billing platform migration to enable the new calcs. until both are complete your bills are on hold

@joelmcourtney trial has been running for quite a while, works really well for us. network charges are always local rather than nemtime, so everyone's used to that. ausgrid.com.au/About-Us/Futur… is the natural conclusion

Not sure how the AER missed the document needing to identify the Timezone applicable for the pricing (local versus NEMTIME). Assuming local most likely, but you can never be certain.

Looks like @ausgrid are moving to charge network costs for exported energy. Not sure how I missed this. It’s going to be fun for retailers and their billing systems. aer.gov.au/system/files/2…
