@damnidc__ He was 30 when she was born. It’s the same as walking into a nursery at a hospital. Picking up a baby girl and telling her Dad, keep this one healthy I’m going to bang her in 20 years.

@maziehirono Passports aren’t required. It can be used if you have one or want one (and has other purposes too). Birth certificates are not expensive to get.

Republicans want to sell the SAVE Trump Act as a voter ID bill. But that is not the reality. From requiring birth certificates to $165 passports, their bill would create expensive obstacles that would bar MILLIONS of eligible voters from participating in our upcoming elections.

He killed the job market and it came back despite him. Republicans were in power of the money, so that’s why deficits weee cut. Trump capped insulin costs, and all Biden done was reverse that EO and redone it and claimed credit. Downe absolutely nothing for climate or infrastructure.. well apart from killing projects that would have lowered costs for the American people. You’re delusional.

Biden didn’t destroy the Rose Garden. He rebuilt the economy, created over 15 million jobs, cut the deficit, lowered insulin costs, and passed historic climate & infrastructure bills. His conscience is clear and so is his record. Do you agree with me? Yes Or No

@ZacksJerryRig @elonmusk Pretty clear… he’s basically saying black people can’t do well on the SAT. Even if you take the “I can’t read” in context where he claims he’s dyslexic, is he claiming black people cant read either? Or they are all dyslexic?

Especially considering the intentionally horrendous substandard conditions & treatment of detainees, 90% of whom hold no criminal record along with the intent to hold many more children. For- profit detention with no effective oversight compelling humane conditions & treatment has been disastrous.

ICE announced they’re going to spend more than $38 billion to detain thousands of more people. With that amount of money, we could end homelessness, extend the Affordable Care Act subsidies, or provide school lunches to every kid in America. This is totally unacceptable.

How exactly would the $38B "end homelesses"? Give us specifics. Y'all say this but never tell anyone HOW spending billions "ends" anything. You don't want the government to use tax payer money to uphold federal laws, but you want to give hundreds of millions to trillion dollar insurance companies. I guess you have to pay back your biggest donors.

@johnhaughey @NoLieWithBTC And you do know that under the Save America act you would still have to do that and you'd also potentially have to do it again when the DHS looks at your registration for your new address but they still have your old one?

@NKY_Leftist @NoLieWithBTC You do know that under the current system, that if you change your address and don’t update your voter registration, that you can only vote in the county that’s on the registration?

This bill is much worse than that. It also can screw you if you've had a recent address change. This is all assuming they don't abuse this power, because all they have to do is tell the state that their data doesn't match and you have to reregister. They can see your party affiliation btw

But but he didn’t have any violent convictions!! Isn’t that what y’all always claim when someone is arrested for beint a criminal? Also wasn’t a member of ICE. Also, there are around 3m federal employees. Take a city of 3m and show me where no one is a criminal. Also, didn’t y’all cry about Trump firing federal employees?

➡️ You’re going to vote… take your things with you. If I want to go buy a gun. I’ll make sure to take the required information with me. ➡️ If it costs $130 to get a birth certificate, blame the government, as they set the costs. Maybe they need to stop milking people. You also wanted to give hundreds of billions to insurance companies. How about funding free birth certificates to all citizens? ➡️ You have heard of marriage licenses, right? If you want to change your name in your ID, you’re required to show it for that. ➡️ How does it affect seniors, military families and rural voters? You think they don’t have documentation or know how to get it? You really think they’re too stupid to get what they need? ➡️ You voted to give hundreds of billions to insurance companies, but $19B to secure elections isn’t worth it. ➡️ Only people it makes it harder on are people not allowed to vote. How does it intimidate newly naturalized citizens? They proudly carry around their documents because they’re proud to be citizens… more than the likes of you who hate the country.

I’m VOTING NO on the SAVE ACT because it will: ➡️ Require proof of citizenship at poll sites — like a passport or birth certificate — documents millions of Americans don’t carry with them ➡️ Charge Americans up to $130 to obtain paperwork ➡️ Target women whose names don’t match their birth certificates, seniors, military families & rural voters - disenfranchising millions! ➡️ Cost $19 billion nationwide ➡️ Make voting harder on purpose and intimidate those newly naturalized. That’s not election security - that is voter suppression and an erosion of our democracy.

Unfortunately for the media, we have the receipts. As shown in our video, Aliya Rahman clearly had enough room to move herself and her vehicle out of the way. Officers even walked away from her vehicle, thinking she was going to leave the scene. Instead, she remained at the location, continued to impede our officers, and found out the hard way. 18 U.S.C. § 111 criminalizes impeding or interfering with federal officers.
The Recount@therecount

Aliya Rahman, a U.S. citizen with autism, told a congressional forum that she wasn't trying to interfere with ICE last month in Minneapolis — she was simply trying to avoid a chaotic scene.

Since the Real ID requirement, you had to show a birth certificate or proof of citizenship. So if you have an ID that is Real ID compliant, you literally have proof of citizenship. It's also added to the Real ID information, so the scan of a drivers license or state ID will work fine.

For the record, “proof of citizenship” isn’t going to be your driver’s license—or even that Real ID they pushed people to get. Nope. Passport or birth certificate and marriage license (for women who married & changed their names). Getting this stuff is tedious & costs a lot.
Marc E. Elias@marceelias

Republicans are moving quickly to pass a bill requiring voters to show proof of citizenship both to register and at the polls ahead of the 2026 midterm elections — a move that experts warn could disenfranchise millions of Americans. democracydocket.com/news-alerts/go…
