@johnlhoo

They sit at the bar and put bread in my jar and say “man, what are you doing here?” Unsolicited DMs may not get a response.

According to PFF grades, Bowry allowed two sacks in 321-drop backs as the starting LT for Boston College last season. 6'5", 314 lb. Bills add depth at OT (lost Van Demark), but also could project to guard in the NFL, which could put him in the mix to compete for a starting job

@UberHansen Hairston needs to stay healthy in order to play. I also think we will see a number of 3 corner looks with IGB providing a complimentary skill set to CB and Mad Max

I don't think the #Bills drafted Igbinosun to purely be a depth/rotational piece. I think they drafted him to legitimately compete with Max Hairston for a starting role. Jim Leonhard clearly has a vision while Brandon Beane's vision is...well...questionable.

@danfetes Every time he played he got shredded. Let’s not kid ourselves that Ingram was a legit backup option. He was a special teams piece - that’s it, that’s all.

I think you’re missing some important context: Dane Jackson played because Ja’Marcus Ingram was released for… Darius Slay. They HAD depth with Ingram. He was their HEALTHY DEPTH CORNER.

@danfetes Last year when Bills CBs got injured we turned to Dane Jackson who on his first play gave up a TD. I don’t want depth I want solid depth at CB.

@AaronHectorCFP On my federal corp and HST returns I was charged interest because in their minds I didn’t make the correct installment payments during the prior tax year. It was a small amount. So, I thanked them for the additional expense against income for this year and went on my way.

CRA has begun their confusing practice (once again) of reporting arrears interest on Notice of Assessments despite the tax deadline not passing yet. Exhibit A: This tax return was recently filed. It shows an assessment date of May 4, 2026. Today is April 23... It was assessed exactly how it was filed. However, the taxpayer will receive a NOA that shows an amount owing that is $57.87 higher than they were expecting. CRA adds arrears (ie.late payment) interest to NOAs automatically.. in a nutshell they are saying, we don't know if you will pay on time or not... we are going to assume that you are NOT going to pay on time. Under that assumption this is the additional tax you will have to pay, if you don't pay on time. Helpful, or confusing? I think confusing. They do typically include a paragraph that says they may not be reflecting your payment and if you have paid then the arrears interest may not apply... but many people don't notice that or understand. If you are in a situation like this, and you've made your payment on time, and your NOA shows a little extra tax to pay and there is a line that says arrears interest... you may be able to ignore it (confirm your specific details there could be legitimate arrears interest for another reason).

It's wild to me that many people who make more than $200,000 a year think they are not in the upper class in Canada. That puts you in the top 2-5% of Canadian income earners. If that isn't the upper class, then there is no upper class in Canada.

Mark my words, this WILL happen: - US will use booze embargo as pretext for S301 tariffs - Ford will back down and lift embargo - S301 tariffs will be lifted - Canada will go back to getting same treatment as Mexico... - ...but Canadian consumers will get California Zinfandel
Joseph Steinberg@jbsteinberg

Fixing dairy import quotas and ending the alcohol embargo aren't concessions---they're win-win changes that would benefit Canadian consumers more than American producers. We're holding ourselves hostage to create negotiating leverage. cbc.ca/news/politics/…

Considering how well Ottawa has done on making Canada Post a such a profitable and successful enterprise, I am sure the Carney Liberals will be able to successfully create a state funded space program. Do you see see this project getting off the ground? All I see is waste.

disappointing to see that there is not a single founder, startup CEO, tech entrepreneur, VC, or innovation-economy builder on this committee this is an old-economy 🦕 list: > 12 legacy-industry executives or industry association leaders (aluminum, auto parts, steel, rail, pipelines, mining, agri, dairy, forestry, manufacturing, chamber) > 5 former politicians or current provincial premier > 2 labour leaders > 1 bank CEO > 1 Indigenous business association CEO > 1 cultural industry executive > 1 academic / US-politics specialist
