Well, that's Tim Wilson's 175-vote margin in Goldstein eroded.

I want to talk to you about Palantir and its expanding footprint in Australia. TLDR: You should be worried. This US surveillance tech company has secured multiple Defence contracts worth over $11 million. We need transparency about what data they're accessing & why. 🧵

@FairAusADV Happy Holidays to everyone at Advance! And may I take this opportunity to wish Advance as much success in 2026 as you achieved in 2025. 2022 felt like the lowest point for the Liberals. Thanks to the Advance team, in 2025 you helped ensure it wasn't.

Timbers from the Batavia, the Dutch East Indiaman shipwrecked off Western Australia in 1629. All kinds of shenanigans then followed: mutiny, massacre, marooning, and all round horror…

I quit the Parliamentary Sports Club a couple of weeks ag when I discovered that it had registered itself as a lobbying group and was sponsored by the gambling peak body. The gambling industry is insidious and invidious. It has its tentacles everywhere. theguardian.com/australia-news…

anyone keen to rock up to this shareholder meeting tomorrow for Tamboran ... the US mob fracking up the NT for a Texas billionaire? we'd go but they have threatened to sue us 2x so would probably not be allowed in
Stephen Mayne@MayneReport

What the hell is ASX-listed Tamboran Resources doing wasting scarce shareholder funds on these high rotation ads running on Sky After Dark? This Delaware registered & US dual listed company has an EGM at 8am tomorrow to approve a $US55m capital raise that shuns retail holders.

@JulianHillMP @Neboneid But what should a community do if their needs are not represented? Surely the desires of the Muslim community in Australia are being ignored by the ALP, so honestly, how can their views be represented in parliament?

That’s not what I said. It’s a consistent and normative point not about a particular faith or people of faith. I’ve always had the same view on this issue. Of course people of faith can and should be involved in our nation’s political process (as should agnostics and atheists). However that is a different thing to faith based parties or political movements whatever the faith. There are particular risks of course of marginalisation for minority faiths as distinct from Christian parties but my same view remains, no faith based parties are desirable in our multicultural nation. The idea of sectarian politics in our country should make anyone shudder. 🙏🏼

My beautiful community is one of the most diverse in Australia. With people of >100 different faith groups who engage widely in our nation’s political processes. The PM is 100% correct. Faith based political parties would be a terrible thing for 🇦🇺 AND minority groups. #auspol

I welcome the timely approach taken by Ticketek to notifying its affected customers. Ticketek advises that customer names, dates of birth and email addresses may have been impacted.

@Peter_Fitz This is what we vote for, when we vote for lower taxes again and again. Eventually there is no fat to cut and it’s all cuts to the meat and bones of a service. Never mind though. I’m sure the labour hire companies made some nice profits.
