@adamtaggart @Polymarket I wouldn't classify Facebook as productive.
English

@Polymarket Congrats California
You just seriously compromised your future tax receipts by scaring your most productive residents to flee the state...and got no upside in return for your efforts

@sanchezcastejon Could have left the last paragraph out; it it petty and divisive.

@TheAlphaThought Water and electric bills pay for water and electric usage, not property taxes.

@BasedMikeLee Any list calling Calvin Coolidge a bad president is worthless
English

FDR dangerously undermined the Constitution by deliberately weakening the Constitution’s twin structural protections: federalism and separation of powers
Calling him the GOAT president is blasphemy

ThinkingWest@thinkingwest
The FDR worship needs to end. Putting him over Washington? Criminal behavior

@elonmusk I wish the restaurant space P.E. guys would figure this out.

@BernieSanders It would be nice if you would post about some recent legislation you championed and got passed for a change, instead of just stating the obvious.

The math behind Jesus being the Messiah is mind blowing.
Here are the odds:
8 specific prophecies fulfilled by one man:
1 in 100 quadrillion
48 prophecies:
1 in 10¹⁵⁷
That’s a number beyond human comprehension.
Jesus fulfilled 300–500+ Old Testament prophecies written centuries before His birth.
This isn’t chance.
This isn’t coincidence.
The odds are literally astronomical.
Our King is the real deal.

@LizAnnSonders Yeah, no. Apparently sunshine and low cost of living not a factor.

Latest Happy City Index 2026 ranks world’s happiest cities using indicators tied to quality of life, healthcare, mobility, affordability, governance, and environment; European cities dominate rankings, led by Copenhagen, Helsinki, and Geneva; Tokyo ranks as Asia’s top city, while San Francisco is only U.S. city to crack global top 50

@BAaronReich @SenatorBaldwin Packers are a non-profit actually.
English

Come on, Tam. We all know that you're not a football fan. You're much more likely a women's rugby fanatic.
Second of all, they're not our Packers. They're a business. Move to China if you want state-run stuff. It's called capitalism, and it's what made this country great and allows for people like you to have stupid ideas. You've been drinking too much fire water again.
English

The cost of just about everything is rising. The last thing Wisconsinites need is the NFL making them spend their hard-earned money on another costly streaming service just to watch our Packers play.

@cavsfanmarty @texasrunnerDFW @DonMiami3 The summer heat is brutal but still better than a northern winter. It's 3-4 months, the mornings aren't terrible, and the rest of the year is nice.
English

@texasrunnerDFW @DonMiami3 going from New Jersey to Texas and then to Ohio .. quality of life is awful in comparison .. the schools are so far below academically ,heat in summer not desirable, and the people quality far below
English

@texasrunnerDFW @DonMiami3 “Come visit and drive the suburbs” you are out of your mind 😂😂😂😂
English

lol.. Republicans don't arrest, or hold anyone accountable. Where have you been??? Its a weakness
that has plagued them for decades.
When Democrats take over, and they will, you will see how its done. They go the other way, they will make shit up to arrest you all....
You weakness stinks worse than their corruption.

TODAY is the day. The DOJ must charge Fauci for lying under oath or lose the chance forever. This man oversaw gain-of-function research at the Wuhan lab, lied to Congress about it repeatedly, and watched as you were called crazy for asking questions. The statute of limitations expires tomorrow. The American people have waited long enough for accountability.

@texasrunnerDFW @mhp_guy In Collin County median price peaked in May 2022 at $575,535 and have been falling ever since on a same month basis with typical season fluctuations. The April 2026 median price was $460,000. That's a big drop. Days on market also fluctuates seasonally and is also up.

What part of this is not measured:
1. I started tweeting in 2021 that Prosper, Frisco, etc were in a housing bubble
2. Home prices peaked in 2022
3. Home prices have been falling since 2024. Rent growth has been negative since 2023
Are people still moving here? Sure. Are home prices completely collapsing? No. Bubbles don’t always pop, sometimes they slowly deflate.
Same thing happened in Austin. It’s normal and not a bad thing

Posting screenshots like this is like posting the “after” picture but not the “before.”
One dot does not make a line.
Amy is incredibly bright but I’ve seen her predict 13 of the last 2 DFW housing slowdowns.
Can we just be more measured?
Amy Nixon@texasrunnerDFW
The entirety of Prosper, TX is moving this summer, I guess

@DallasAptGP 20 years ago, you couldn't hail a cab in Dalllas. You had to call a cab company and arrange a pick up. Only exception was directly outside some bars and hotels.
English

@UrbanCourtyard Developers call them master planned communities. I call them micro planned communities. There is no unifying feel to cities with these developments.
English

Key takeaway from the reaction to this post is that the suburban smear around DFW has spectacularly failed to create the kind of neighborhoods where people want to stay, form community, and age in place.
It’s also very hot, but there are hot cities in the world that retain population over time. They use land very differently than Dallas though

Amy Nixon@texasrunnerDFW
I am astounded by the number of millennial families who moved to Dallas, bought a home, then turned around and sold the home to move out of Dallas, in less than a 5 year time span Is Dallas just super transient or is this a post-pandemic phenomenon happening everywhere?
