DO NOT ASSUME THAT SOMEONE IS ALREADY IN HEAVEN 👀 St. Vincent Ferrer recounted a narrative about an archdeacon from Lyons who renounced his position to live a life of penance in the desert. He died on the same day and hour as Saint Bernard. After his death, the archdeacon appeared to his bishop and revealed, "Know, Monsignor, that at the very hour I passed away, thirty-three thousand people also died. Out of this number, St. Bernard and myself went up to heaven without delay, three went to purgatory, and all the others fell into Hell." This account underscores the gravity of salvation and the importance of living a life of virtue. It serves as a poignant reminder of the narrow path to heaven and the multitude who may be lost due to a lack of repentance and penance🇻🇦

Congratulations. You have now made a radical out of me. You fuckers deserve it.

I think this depends on precisely what one means by “follow”, but if all one means is that they both thinks that Jesus of Nazareth was a great moral teacher worth obeying and emulating, then probably, yes. But they don’t worship the same God. Mormons get God too wrong.

@orthodoxluigi BoA is an embarrassment. Imagine if something like that existed for Catholicism or Orthodoxy.

This will not happen - but if the new Pope just overturned Vatican II, recognized it was a mistake, made Latin Mass the standard - this would result in a reduction in parishioners initially. But it would create the mustard seed that Benedict XVI always talked about - and a future

@RealBrysonGray Agreed. Evolution is fake.

people who think you can’t have morality without religion scare me bc wtf do you mean????

The evidential problem of evil seems like grasping at straws to me. We’re dealing with deductive proofs that God exists and you guys are arguing atheism is slightly more probable given evil? Why waste my time on this?
