2 months building @HermesWorldAI and the model differences are now obvious in practice, not benchmarks. Fable is my daily driver. It doesn't need the careful prompt scaffolding Opus wanted I give it a half-sentence and it goes and reads the actual system state before touching anything. Opus built our best architecture docs and debugging doctrine; Fable inherited those and executes them faster, with way less back-and-forth. Planning and coding collapsed into one loop. 5.5/5.6 are the swarm — excellent inside clean file-in/file-out contracts (asset mills, UI panels, research), but they drift the moment the task needs deep project memory. The real unlock: how direct I can be scales with the model. With Fable I talk like I'd talk to a senior engineer who's been on the project for months. That's the actual benchmark nobody publishes.

Day 5 of building a snowboarding game with Fable 5 🏂 It’s snowing. New UI, more animations, better lighting, and multiplayer in progress. All playable with an Xbox One controller. All raw WebGPU, no engine.
