EXCLUSIVE from @breeallegretti Labour covered the cost of a specialist tax lawyer hired to look into Angela Rayner’s finances in the lead-up to her resignation as deputy prime minister last year Jonathan Peacock KC, a leading barrister, spent up to five days examining her finances relating to the purchase of her £700,000 flat in Hove The costs, which experts said would rune into tens of thousands of pounds, were paid for by Labour HQ Some in Labour argue this is a poor use of funds given the state of the party's finances. But the attacks are also a sign that critics of Rayner are seeking to tarnish her reputation in anticipation of a possible leadership challenge in May... thetimes.com/uk/politics/ar…

🚨 Police Federation boss arrested for corruption Well this is something… The CEO of the Police Federation of England and Wales, Mukund Krishna, has been arrested on suspicion of corruption. According to The Daily Telegraph.. he was arrested alongside two national board members following an investigation into alleged financial wrongdoing inside the organisation. The arrests were carried out by City of London Police. For context.. the Police Federation represents around 130,000 rank and file officers across England and Wales and Krishna was reportedly earning over £230,000 a year as its first ever CEO. This is still a breaking story, so more details are expected. But wow… the organisation meant to represent police officers now being investigated for corruption at the top is quite something. 👀

A remarkable interview with Reform's Deputy Leader. He does not rule out accepting small boat migrants from Iran. Restore Britain's position is clear. We would abolish the entire asylum system. No more asylum seekers from Iran, Afghanistan or anywhere else. Not one more.
