PharmD committed to combatting fatal and non-fatal overdoses for all Mississippians.

Happy to share some positive news! So thankful for the wonderful work the @msdh is doing to reduce overdose deaths in our state. We have seen over 30% reduction in overdose deaths in our state do to harm reduction efforts such as fentanyl testing strips and naloxone. Yes, we are still in crisis mode but it’s great to see hard work paying off. @jonhubanks is doing an INCREDIBLE job leading these efforts!

Join us in the fight against opioid overdoses in Mississippi. Together, we can make a difference and save lives. #EndTheOpioidCrisis 💙

Come and see us at the @MSStateFair ! @msdh is grateful to have Pharmacists Ashton Smith, Pharmacy Residency Program Co-Director and Academic Detailing Lead and Sophie Durham, who is the Interim Prevention Coordinator for the Opioid and SUD Program both serving at the fair. Stop by and learn more about opioid use disorder prevention and how to get naloxone (ODFree.org). We’re working hard to combat this crises but we can’t do it alone.
