My mother is busy helping all her elderly friends claim benefits they didn’t know they could get.
All because the government took away winter fuel allowances.
At least 5 of them are now better off than they were before.
They’ll happily lose 300 a year to swap it for hundreds a month they now get.
Well done mum.

@ghost_wales This was the entire basis of the policy. To stop money being paid to those who don’t need it (such as the guy who says he spends his allowance on a vintage wine each year), and to encourage those who do need it to get the benefits they didn’t know they could be claiming.
