"I'll be happy when this series is over because, although I think it's good for the state of Virginia, I don't know if it's great for our relationship." James Franklin visited Norfolk tonight and has some nice words about longtime friend Ricky Rahne and Old Dominion. @WTKR3

SB727 just passed the General Assembly and is now headed to the Governor. A bill to prohibit transporting AR15’s. The substitute passed on SB727 removes the word “loaded.” That means the prohibition now applies to any qualifying firearm — loaded or unloaded — on any public street, road, sidewalk, or place open to the public. Read that again. Under the plain text of this bill, a law-abiding Virginian driving to a gun range with an unloaded AR-15 in their car could be committing a Class 1 misdemeanor. This bill doesn’t target criminals. It criminalizes ordinary gun owners. Democrats passed not one bill to penalize criminals who misuse firearms - and have now locked in on telling Virginians that if they simply put their AR15 in the car to go target shooting - they will go to jail for up to 1 year. This is the first test for the Governor to show us who she is. What a shameful disgrace.

What’s clear from the Maduro raid and today’s strikes is that forever wars were a choice.

Turns out @DominionEnergy lied to Virginians, lied to VA Beach residents, @vademocrats lied to taxpayers 2018: Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind turbines: “Will not be visible from the Virginia Beach Shoreline” 2026: They ARE visible Dominion always knew… $11 billion later

#NDSU AD Matt Larsen tells me the Bison will aggressively pursue a waiver to be immediately eligible for the Mountain West title game, bowls and the CFP. He expects support from the MWC.
