There is some hope in parts of the country. The problem is people that have seen huge home appreciation don't want affordable housing and they vote. I actually do own my home but I'd rather see prices come down so my kid can afford a home of their own someday, most don't seem to care though.

@jonpeng @GHR2073937 @bonzerbarry There are quite a few things, the most basic being nets at more or less permanent pitstops and around important equipment. Electronic reconnaissance is another one, yet Hezbollah is still flying radio controlled drones.

Channel 12: According to an initial investigation of the incident where the 401st brigade commander was seriously injured, at 7:50 a soldier in the 3rd Battalion identifies a drone and raises the alarm. An explosive drone hits the top floor of the building. As a result of the impact, the brigade commander and 2 other soldiers are injured. At 8:10 the team evacuates the wounded in the Hummer to the airstrip for evacuation. At 8:23 a helicopter evacuates two of the injured, a third injured person is evacuated by ambulance. At 8:45 the team returns to the building, and another drone hits it. Another drone hits an ammunition truck, causing secondary explosions and a fire near the building. At 9:00 the force prepares to leave the building, drones continue to hit it all the time. At 10:00 the first force to leave detects a drone, the fighters shoot and hit it and it explodes - no casualties. 6 drones were used

The 401st Brigade Commander was critically wounded this morning when a FPV drone struck the front entrance of a building in Debl. The drone bypassed protective netting and the shrapnel wounded several occupation army soldiers, including the commander. While the IOF says that three total soldiers were wounded, some reports claim that up to 8 soldiers were wounded while accompanying the commander in Debl. Hadashot BezMen: Note the IDF spokesperson's messages: the number of casualties is almost always unreliable compared to the field.

@Historitake @bonzerbarry Wonder if we'll ever get something like the banning of all drone attacks internationally because of this. Like how chemical weapons were banned.

@bonzerbarry The shift caused by drones was somewhat noticeable with Ukraine, but with Iran and Lebanon its basically cemented. We are entering an age of war worse than the first world war. We are on the precipice of stalemates that lead to meat grinders never seen before in human history.

The Taliban told me stories from their battles. They would attach some PKM trigger to a piece of comically long string on the side of a mountain. Then when the Americans pass some kid would pull the trigger and run The Americans would spent $500k calling in air strikes, spend an hour bunkered down firing at the mountain. The next day the Taliban would come in and collect $300 worth of scrap metal from the airstrike and sell it for bread and the Americans would claim in their newspaper that they had zero casualties during an engagement with 20 Taliban that they “eliminated”.

@SanaSaeed Or, the far more likely scenerio is that the pro Hamas activists are trying to ride the wave of the NYT article and are fabricating rape stories too.

The most unnerving thing about these horrific reports of sexual assault is that, if I had to guess, the Israelis escalated their aggression towards these activists in response to the (limited) outrage generated by the Kristof investigation, especially among some previous sympathizers. The Israelis have shown repeatedly, esp throughout their extermination in Gaza, how pathological they are with regards to sexual violence - and so it’s not out of turn to consider that it’s a society where exposure of their own sexual violence doesn’t provoke shame or restraint, but a need to double down and inflict even more similar violence.
Drop Site@DropSiteNews

Flotilla activist Meriem Hadjal described being sexually assaulted by Israeli forces. She said they stripped her of her clothes and continued groping her chest while striking her repeatedly in the head.

Hasn't even been a year and Zohran's governance is having a massive impact on my family. Our daycare was able to open a 15-seat 3K program because of the 2,000 extra seats the admin funded. Everyone we know got in somewhere they wanted. This is gonna save us almost 50 grand.

@clrichmond77 @isaiah_bb @officerbill It's wild that 3 minutes ago you were like "you all are leeches on society and I don't get any government aid" to "yeah I get $45000 every month because I twisted my ankle going to the porta potty to jack off".

@clrichmond77 @officerbill You can pretend the money you get from the state for your circumstances is somehow different than any other kind of social support, which is fine, it’s what every single conservative does. Yours is a “maintenance fee,” it’s everyone else who takes public assistance. Totally.
