I used to use a combination of @Siteground for low budget clients and @Kinsta for the ones who paid for premium hosting. However, I recently closed our Siteground account and moved all our clients to Kinsta (without charging them any extra) because it makes life so much easier for me due to the easy staging sites, backups, etc.

Winning isn't the definition of success for David's approach. Taking a shot is the goal. Practically speaking he's building his brand, win lose or draw it's working.

@Speedgoatkarl @SageOfEchoes @MountainRoche @runsingletrack I'm a fan of Roche but I also think what you're saying is a possibility - he is absolutely throwing himself into a pressure cooker. In any event it gets people talking about trail running and WSER, so win or crash and burn it's a fun story line.

@SageOfEchoes @MountainRoche @runsingletrack ya know what? Roche is putting a ton of pressure on himself. That typically does NOT bode well for fine performances. He has the ability to slay it, but the pressure will eventually break down the mind. Hope I'm wrong, it's going to be a good race as always.

@realEstateTrent Yes. I’m 41 and generally feel like I’m closer to someone in their early 30’s than to other folks in their 40’s.

Curious to hear people's thoughts on this: I'm 45, but truly feel like I'm in my twenties. When I meet someone who's 30, I feel like we are around the same age. Does everyone feel this way? Much younger than you really are? Do some feel much older than their age?

@rcdaut @FitFounder Yeah, just to make the point a little clearer... I can do at least 15 dead hang pull-ups without kipping and that farmer carry of 100% of bodyweight for 2 mins seems extreme. It's a grip strength issue. I'm just not sure I can even hold two 90 lb dumbbells for 2 mins.

@jonrichpen @FitFounder I'm not sure I can farmer carry 60% of my body weight for 2 minutes. I can do the other 6 challenges though -- 5 dead hang pullups is tough but doable, and the stand up test i fail frequently but can do, but the other 4 are fairly easy.

7 fitness tests every 40 year old man should be able to pass:

@rcdaut @FitFounder Agreed. 10 min mile is my easy pace. I strength train 3 times per week and have for a few years and I'm not sure I could farmer carry my bodyweight for 2 mins.

@FitFounder These tests are not analogous in difficulty. A 10 min mile is a joke while a two min farmer carry w/ body weight is absurdly difficult. I'd estimate a 10 minute mile is roughly equivalent to 30% body weight for 2 minutes, and body weight for 2 min is roughly a 5 minute mile.
