@eastdakota @Badgerops @Cloudflare Unfortunately same here, we are currently evaluering Cloudflare, though its very difficult to get proper estimates for Enterprise cost, and currently we are looking into if we have to continue on business to be able to get a sense of the budget

Hey @eastdakota longtime @cloudflare user here. I love what y’all do, as an engineer it is fantastic. As an enterprise customer I am ticked off. In renewal talks now, and the contract quote is complicated, service definitions opaque, and nobody can explain the breakdown clearly

Really interested in trying Omarchy from @dhh. The main things preventing me from switching are AirDrop and “Universal Clipboard”. Anyone have solutions to these? Willing to leave the some ecosystem even on my phone if I can get tie-in like that

New entry-level AMD 340 from @FrameworkPuter is solid! Single-core Zen5 matches the HX370 (2,900 Geekbench, so close to Apple M3). Only compromise is a 25-30% hit on multicore (12K GB, also ~M3) over HX370, so HEY tests run in 2m55s v 2m5s. But it's $630 cheaper! ~$1,300 all-in.

What's the best mail app for macOS in 2025? 🤔 Any suggestions? Thank you. 🙏

@TablePlus One question and one request: Is it still going to be native Swift? And a request, for AWS IAM can you make a selector where you can select profile etc to generate the command instead of pasting the entire command? (Attached example from DataGrip)

We are working on TablePlus 7.0, which is scheduled for release in mid-2025. Rollout slowly: - A brand-new UI design: We are redesigning the entire app for the first time. - A revamped SQL export: new design, more features, faster. -Focus on plugins: allowed 3rd party plugins and documents. - Enhanced diagrams and metrics board: adding more features and components.

@joscdk As far as a CVSS score goes it should be pretty high but since CUPS isn't installed or enabled all over it's not a big impact overall on the industry.

Saving on daycare is a bug hiding as a feature. My sister pays 320 EURO for full time daycare in Vienna a month. You should receive free/very low cost childcare if you are below a certain salary threshold.

I get your hesitation but I really think you’re underestimating how much people hate having to commute and spending less time with their loved ones especially children. Saving the money on Daycare alone may be worth it lmao 24k a year is apparently a low cost daycare option

I bought a new laptop and I’m pretty excited about it. Nothing to do with the 10% discount..

@AlexJonesax My next laptop is going to be a Framework. I expect quality generally on the keyboard/touchpad to be worse than Lenovo, but being able to repair/upgrade is worth the trade-off to me :)

@dhh Currently we have decided on the LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir), quite impressed how it all works together, and really low TCO, and fairly easy for us to manage :)

We ended up with a combination of Prometheus, Grafana, and Kibana for metrics, logging, and investigations. Would love to see some standardization and glue be applied, such that all this becomes as easy as signing up for DD. But even by hand, it our levels, it was well worth it.

Our renewal bill for Datadog came to ~$83,000/year before we canceled. There's no way, no how the time we've spent replacing the key usage amounts to 1/3 or 1/2 of a full-time employee. Not even close. Enterprise SaaS pricing is bonkers.

@_ediri We also have it in Denmark called "Kage gaffel" (same meaning as in German) Southern Jutland even have what's known as a Kagebord which is a concept of a large variety of a lot of different cakes, visited a friend once where they had 12 different cakes 😅
