Hey all! We promised we would be better about communication moving forward and we want to live up to that. We have decided that we are going to hold back PCVR a LITTLE bit longer. Instead of launching it and then doing a quick turnaround patch (our original plan), we are going to roll in the patch fixes and updates directly to the PCVR launch build. We are also going to incorporate fixes to some of the main issues we’re seeing in the current community playthroughs. Our goal is to launch a higher quality PCVR edition and then patch the PSVR 2 version so there is complete parity between the two platforms. We are working hard with our porting partners at Devoted Studios with the goal of getting the PCVR launch and PSVR 2 patch ready within the next 2 weeks! We know it's frustrating when it appears that we aren't communicating and that can come across as if we’re not paying attention. That cannot be farther from the truth. We take this community very seriously because the community is what makes everything we do worthwhile. While I wish we could always be perfect, we do always strive to do better!

Honestly as a creator I’d rather follow people who tear apart my work like that. You learn a lot more from negative criticism than positive. Being praised for the things you did right feels good because you know what works and you earned that, but having the things that don’t work get called out makes you readjust your perspective and think about why those things didn’t work and work to make those things better

Steel Wool Dev Rodney Brett reveals the reason for Secret of the Mimic's pivot to Flatmode! HW2 didn't perform to expectations, not even close to HW1. Dev costs were way higher with a team 3x the size. VR titles at that scale weren't sustainable. Priority shifted to flat.
