Feminism did NOT liberate women. What liberated women was TECHNOLOGY and BIRTH CONTROL. Washing machine liberated you more than feminism ever did. Our mothers spent 15 hours a week washing clothes with their hands. Washing machine came and freed her. Fridge freed her. She no longer had to go to market every day. Gas cooker freed her. No more 3 hours blowing firewood smoke into her eyes. Electricity freed her. And BIRTH CONTROL freed her. She could finally choose when to have children, how many to have. Not feminism. TECHNOLOGY.
