Look at this image. This is official Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition imagery. When I was a kid in the 1980s we had police officers show up to our classrooms and tell us not to play Dungeons and Dragons because it was was a gateway to drugs, Satanism, and murder. We had Mike Warnke selling out auditoriums, talking about his experiences with DnD, Satanism, and wouldn't you know it, turns out he was a fraud. This sort of thing scared the shit out of us little kids. Something that Sears had recently advertised in its Christmas toy catalog SOMEHOW was an instruction manual to chop up your entire family for the glory of Satan. Later on when I wised up, I looked at Dungeons and Dragons materials -- even the more "problematic" ones -- and found nothing of the sort. No satanic imagery. No suggestions to chop up your family. No subversive instructions to seclude yourself and eventually commit suicide. It was an adaptation of the same wargaming our very own military had used for decades, but instead of USMC infantry with flamethrowers, you had wizards. Instead of tanks, dragons. Gary Gygax enjoyed wargaming AND Lord of the Rings so much that he wanted to combine the two. That's it. That was Dungeons and Dragons. Now DnD is filled with all this sexually degenerate messaging in a product intended for older children and teens. This is evidence of that. I don't need to explain any more. Everyone else understands this point. You, on the other hand, are a fucking imbecile. Anything else?

Hit Points were invented by Dave Arneson in the very first version of DnD. There, a normal guy only had 1 to 4 HP, so losing 1 HP was the equivalent of getting stabbed with a knife.
