I tried out @realfi_co testnet, and it’s intuitive and easy to use. You swap a stablecoin like $USDCx for USDr, then stake it to receive sUSDr. Your yield comes from the appreciation of sUSDr’s value. You can also track the yield in real time, and the overall UX feels really clean. What makes RealFi interesting is that it’s not just recycling on-chain capital through DeFi. It’s aiming to connect on-chain capital with returns generated by the real economy. While most Web3 projects compete for liquidity from other ecosystems, RealFi is trying to create a pathway for new capital to flow in from the real economy. It’s still early and only at the testnet stage, but I think it’s definitely a project worth watching.

Let me explain what really happened, and why the very first thing they screamed at everyone deserves a hard look. From minute one the loudest message was this. Do NOT restore your wallet anywhere else. Do NOT sign anything. Do nothing, just wait for us. Phil (@phil_uplc) put it bluntly: do not migrate your seed out, do not sign any transactions, follow this and your funds are safe. Here is the problem. That advice quietly turns a key level flaw into "your seed is radioactive, freeze and wait." And for a lot of people, freezing is the worst thing you can do. Let me break it down. First, what restoring actually is. Restoring your seed into another wallet like Eternl is just opening your wallet in different software. It is a local action on your own machine. It broadcasts nothing. It puts zero on chain. So the idea that touching your seed sets off a bomb is not how any of this works. The real danger is signing, because as SecondFi finally admitted, every signature from a compromised address leaks its private key. But read their own words carefully. They said your default address (index 0) almost certainly already has transaction history, and that history is all an attacker needs. Translate that. If your wallet has ever sent a transaction, your key is ALREADY exposed. It happened the first day you signed. Sitting still does not un-expose it. The grenade already went off. The only question left is whether you get your assets out before someone sweeps them. So now the move everyone was told to avoid. Create a new wallet in Eternl with a fresh seed. Restore the old wallet in Eternl too. Then send one single transaction that sweeps everything, ADA, tokens, even staking rewards, from the old wallet into the new one. Done. They said you will get front run in the mempool. Here is why that is overstated. Cardano has no fee market. The node processes transactions first seen, first served. There is no replace by fee like on Ethereum. You cannot pay to cut the line. The moment you broadcast your sweep, it is already spreading and already sitting in mempools as the first claim on those coins. A competing transaction that tries to spend the same coins gets rejected by every node that saw yours first. Yes, an attacker can derive your key fast, that part is real. But he still has to land a conflicting transaction across the network starting from behind, after he even notices yours. Your transaction has a head start he cannot buy his way past. For the tech people out there: Ed25519 sig is (R, S) with S = r + H(R, A, M)*a mod L A predictable r gives a = (S - r)*H(R, A, M)^-1 mod L straight from public data. And on the reward worry they raised, you do not withdraw rewards to your compromised address and stop. You build one transaction that withdraws the rewards and sends everything to the new address in the same shot, so nothing is ever left sitting at the exposed address. Now the honest part, because I am not selling you a fairy tale. The sweep is a race, not a guarantee. A very well connected attacker with your key ready can still beat you for some wallets. So do it fast, from a good connection, to a brand new seed, ideally a hardware wallet. Send to NEW keys, never the old seed restored somewhere. That part of their warning is correct. But line up the two options honestly. Option one, do nothing, and sit with an already exposed key that is drainable at any moment, including the second your staking rewards land. Option two, take your one clean shot to move everything out, on a chain whose mempool rules actually favor whoever moves first. For most wallets that already have history, doing nothing is the bigger gamble. Not the safe one. Now ask the obvious question. Why was the loudest, most repeated instruction the one that keeps everyone frozen inside SecondFi instead of getting their funds to safety? Look at who was pushing it. Phil DiSarro, the person telling you to absolutely not move your funds, is a paid consultant and lecturer for EMURGO. EMURGO owns SecondFi. That is straight from his own published bios, not my guess. He also holds a seat on Cardano's Constitutional Committee. None of that was disclosed in the "urgently listen, do not move your funds" message. I am not telling you what to conclude. I am saying you deserve to know it before you accept "do nothing" as neutral safety advice. And there is a structural reason keeping users parked is valuable to them, beyond just keeping customers. EMURGO is a registered Cardano DRep. Inside their wallet, the top option in the governance tab delegates your voting power straight to them. Vote delegation and stake delegation are separate things, this is the voting lever, and a DRep votes on governance including treasury spending. Keeping a million plus users parked in the wallet keeps that voting power pooled where they want it. This exact setup was already called out publicly back in 2025. So put it together. The company that shipped a key generation flaw is telling affected users the only safe move is to stay, do nothing, and file a ticket. One of the loudest voices amplifying that is a paid EMURGO consultant who also sits on the Constitutional Committee. And the advice that is framed as safest for you happens to be identical to the advice that keeps their user base and their pooled voting power intact. Maybe it is all coincidence and good intentions. Maybe. But you are allowed to notice the pattern, and you are allowed to move your own funds. Draw your own conclusions.

@lorenzoxbt My guess is they will ask you to sign a transaction with the wallet you claim is yours and provide the transaction receipt.

was JUST thinking about this there are many people who bought their ADA anonymously in the past these people now have to kyc if they want to prove they were the original owners of the private keys but how do you prove you own something if somebody else has it?

🚨 Cardano DeFi Liquidity Update 🚨 We have shortlisted 5 proposals from the 9 that have been submitted. The shortlisted proposals are from: @CswapDEX @MinswapDEX @VyFiOfficial @wingriderscom @DanoFinance Notifications were sent out Sunday night, and proposers have until Monday June 21st to submit updated proposals. As a part of this, we made the difficult decision to only use USDM and USDCx stablecoins. With the price of ADA, we decided to go with the market leaders in total on chain value. This was not an easy decision. The goal of this has always been to use this as a pilot and to submit subsequent treasury requests for additional funds, and we intend to do this in subsequent years to include USDA as well.
