Don Bacon on Russia-Ukraine: We shouldn't act like a referee in a boxing match between two equals. No, we have a victim, a democracy being invaded, and a dictator doing the invading. We should not act neutral. This is good versus evil. I expect more from a Republican administration: stand up to the bully, stand up to Putin. I'm a Reagan Republican. I support negotiations, but there's right and wrong here, and we’re acting morally blind.

Achilles for Idaho | U.S. Senate 2026
@Acyn This dereliction of Constitutional duty is exactly why I’m running against Risch. I’m the only candidate in Idaho that’s leading in the polls and has a path to beat him. For the sake of the 5,000 Idahoans on active duty, November can’t come soon enough.

Stories of overbilling by autism service providers have prompted cutbacks by states and Medicaid managed care plans. Side effect: a number of autistic kids won't be getting all the help they need. autismpolicyblog.com/2026/03/aba-fu…

@kyledcheney DHS is part of the intelligence community. A would-be secretary ought to know what "classification" means.

Mullin claimed that the House sent him on a classified trip that only four people knew about. When Paul and Peters pressed him on which agency classified it, it led to this exchange: MULLIN: It wasn’t an agency. It was done here, well, in the House at the time. PETERS: The House classified it? MULLIN: I’m assuming. Except the House doesn't have that power. All classification authority flows from the president/executive.

@MichaelRBloodAP Many people have forgotten (or never knew) that Nelson Rockefeller was dyslexic. He still managed to be a very consequential political figure.

He took the greatest military force in world history, lost a war to a middle power in a week, begged the world to save him, and demanded that the media lie about this and everything else. I try, but at a simple human level I do not see how anyone can mistake this man’s almost supernatural weakness for strength. His weakness is something negative, gravitational, so deep that it can draw in a whole country. But only if we fail to see it. Only if we let it.

@michaeldweiss Carrie Prejean and Candace Owens are odd choices to headline a conference about what it means to be really Catholic since they converted to Catholicism 1 and 2 years ago.

.@ZohranKMamdani and I have something huge in common — we’re both entirely focused on making life better for working people. We have very different ideas on how to do that, but I think that’s the sign of a healthy democracy: the ability to disagree civilly, debate thoughtfully, and grapple with the fact that what we’ve been doing isn’t working — even, and perhaps most importantly, when you come from the same political party. I love New York, but I’m happy to be on a flight home right now — because California, we have a whole lot of work to do.

Trump on Joe Kent: I always thought he was a nice guy, but I always thought he was weak on security. I didn't know him well, but I thought he seemed like a nice guy. But when I read his statement, I realized that it's a good thing he’s out.

This is just a flatly stupid thing to say
David Senra@davidsenra

Great men of history had little to no introspection. The personality that builds empires is not the same personality that sits around quietly questioning itself. @pmarca and I discuss what we both noticed but no one talks about: David: You don't have any levels of introspection? Marc: Yes, zero. As little as possible. David: Why? Marc: Move forward. Go! I found people who dwell in the past get stuck in the past. It's a real problem and it's a problem at work and it's a problem at home. David: So I've read 400 biographies of history’s greatest entrepreneurs and someone asked me what the most surprising thing I’ve learned from this was [and I answered] they have little or zero introspection. Sam Walton didn't wake up thinking about his internal self. He just woke up and was like: I like building Walmart. I'm going to keep building Walmart. I'm going to make more Walmarts. And he just kept doing it over and over again. Marc: If you go back 400 years ago it never would've occurred to anybody to be introspective. All of the modern conceptions around introspection and therapy, and all the things that kind of result from that are, a kind of a manufacture of the 1910s, 1920s. Great men of history didn't sit around doing this stuff. The individual runs and does all these things and builds things and builds empires and builds companies and builds technology. And then this kind of this kind of guilt based whammy kind of showed up from Europe. A lot of it from Vienna in 1910, 1920s, Freud and all that entire movement. And kind of turned all that inward and basically said, okay, now we need to basically second guess the individual. We need to criticize the individual. The individual needs to self criticize. The individual needs to feel guilt, needs to look backwards, needs to dwell in the past. It never resonated with me.
