FXH Protocol Roadmap is here 🚀
Let's talk roadmap. We're incredibly excited about what we've built and where we're going as a platform and protocol. And we're ready to share it with the world!
Our future is about one thing: building a platform where art is for everyone. Let's dig into some detail around the major bylines from the roadmap👇
- fxhash is building on @base. We feel at home and well supported by the Base team @jessepollak @davidtsocy @brad_or_bradley @CoinbaseWallet and many others. And we think Base is the perfect place to kick off a new era for onchain art for everyone.
- Focus on improving + simplifying the FXH Protocol experience. This largely means blending art coins more into the background, bringing artwork closer in the foreground by contrast, and making minting + evolving dead simple & fun.
- All value flowing through $FXH. Every transaction on the platform can and should find its path through $FXH. Secondary transactions, primary mints, you name it - $FXH will increasingly become the default currency for the entire platform.
This won't mean you need to hold $FXH directly all the time to transact, but it will mean that when buying or selling from $ETH or stablecoins, the swap will always route through $FXH in the background.
- Staking is coming for FXH and artcoins. Rewards don't end at the airdrop. Next stop is time-locked $FXH staking, where the longer you stake, the more rewards you generate relative to your stake size + time commitment.
We also track which wallets are locking art coins (you have to lock art coins to mint / evolve in the FXH protocol). Once artcoin lock staking is deployed, wallets that participate in the platform by locking in coins/mints will earn $FXH for doing so.
- fxhash is expanding to AI and ALL digital art. You heard that right. Whether AI, gifs, 1/1s, photography, offline rendered, and more - if you can upload it, you can art coin it on fxhash.
Know that we won't support editions in the way @objktcom or other platforms do (fractionalized NFTs) and will continue to be a platform for unique pieces of art only. To be extra clear, this means when you mint on fxhash, you will only ever receive an artwork that no one else has.
- Positioning artcoins as the art currency of the future. Art coins can support any artist's career and they can also be utilized to support myriad components within the art industry as a whole.
Gallery coins, museum coins, AI agent artist coins, DAO coins - the list goes on. The FXH Protocol infrastructure we've built is extremely extensible, and it's all running on $FXH.
We'll continue updating you as we progress on the roadmap, starting with a first reveal tomorrow!

In this part of Polypaths, I did something quite special: I collaborated with the National Taiwan Museum to bring back to life — digitally — a native Taiwanese plant that has already gone extinct: Bruguiera gymnorhiza (also known as red mangrove). The process was a mix of science and poetry. The museum’s researchers provided valuable references — scientific drawings, field data, and key botanical features. For example, the plant has opposite leaves, which are rounded and full, and it has a unique trait: viviparous propagules — long, pen-like shoots that hang from its branches like delicate ink brushes. To capture this realistically, I created a custom mode in the code (sp2), which enforces strict rules: leaves grow in opposite pairs, their size stays consistent, and they only appear at certain intervals along the branch — mimicking the rhythm of a botanist documenting a specimen node by node. As the plant grows upward, its density increases toward the tip, following the natural logic of phototropism. The hardest part was recreating that hanging propagule. My original system had no such structure, so I had to write a special function from scratch to simulate its form and behavior. I’m deeply honored to be part of this collaboration. Behind the scenes, this phase of development quietly transformed Polypaths. With the help of real-world data and historical records, the system didn’t just grow a body — it gained a soul.

Testing “Towers” on @fx_hash_.
Rewrote the 2D renderer for SVG output.
Results may vary slightly as I decided to use system fonts…

Art Blocks Curated has so many beautiful pieces (and many of them are now reasonably priced). Moved this Sudfah to a safe place. A calligraphic line and some spilled digital liquid created with generative code by @mwiederrecht💜
