Local corporate news here in the Twin Cities yesterday had a story about how auto theft is about 10 times higher (in pure numbers) in Minneapolis than in St. Paul. They said that this is so because St. Paul, unlike Minneapolis, has a dedicated team of cops who go after car thieves. Minneapolis, not so much. Where are the bait cars? Where are the anti-theft teams? Cue the crickets. Minneapolis hired police Chief O'Hara to fix things. He isn't fixing things. He is highly paid, one of the highest paid chiefs in the country. Not only does he refuse to protect rightwing protestors (Jake Lang was beaten right in front of City Hall, where O'Hara has an office) and protect their right to assemble (guaranteed by the US Constitution that he swore to uphold) and not only did he throw other cops under the bus (ICE) and refuse to assist them (which resulted in two anti-ICE protestors killed), but he makes excuses about the sky-high auto theft here. He says he is understafffed. Ok, but they didn't pay him to make excuses. They paid him a lot (I think his base salary is about $320,000) to get things done. If he can't do that he should step down. He has failed.

We have a two-tiered justice system in Minneapolis (Hennepin County) - one for leftists and one for everyone else (which is unconstitutional and violates the 14th Amendment, among others). If you are a conservative and kick over an ice sculpture, you get prosecuted. If you key Teslas and do $20,000 damage, or spray paint a wall and you're a leftist you get a slap on the wrist. Hell, leftists burned down buildings here and looted and no one was prosecuted (the feds did prosecute about 8 people, though).
