Watched all 82 @Suns games this year & learned a lot about the team & the players. One thing I consistently noticed throughout the season was the correlation between Collin Gillespie’s 3pt efficiency & his mid range scoring early in games. Check out the🧵below!

Two scenarios. Pick your preference. In a 10 year window, the NBA team you're a fan of can either: A. be in the Playoffs eight out of the 10 years, be in legit contention in six, and be in the Finals twice and lose both; or B. be in the playoffs two of the 10 years, be in legit contention in two, and be in the Finals once and win. Which would you choose for your team?

@R_LPC Get ready to bet the under on Pelicans totals next year! He’s gonna get that defense up and running but I’m scared for their offense hahaha

Such a disappointing loss to end our season. But I won't let this loss take away from the magnificent season that we had. 60 wins, #1 in the East. All NBA seasons. Amazing memories in Detroit that I'll never forget in my lifetime . Beautiful highlights, improbable comebacks, and most of all the best fans in the league. Thank you to the Pistons for giving us our best team in decades. This was the best Pistons team that I have watched since I became a fan. The best part is that this team will only improve in the future. We will be back, better than ever. It's always Detroit vs Everybody!!! DEEETROIT BASKETBALL!!!!

@HPbasketball Not a fan, but someone with an idea, lol. This is an insane take. If Gobert isn’t here wolves are scratching and clawing just to get into the playoffs and likely not winning rounds. Then all the discourse is: Ant can’t win in Minnesota. He has to leave.

New article ‼️ My notes on winners, losers, and other notable prospects I watched at the NBA Draft Combine this week. Spoiler alert: loved what I saw from Morez Johnson Jr. and Jeremy Fears Jr. Thank you all for your support on my combine content! benchmobblog.com/2026/05/14/202…

You see a lot of this online but there is no one offseason solution to catch up with the Spurs & OKC They didn’t build their teams like that and neither will anyone else It was years that included smart drafting, tanking when needed, sticking to a system, trusting your development, LUCK and timely but not excessive trades and free agent signings Trading away depth to add a star isn’t going to get a team like Minnesota or others that are close over the hump You have to limit mistakes when you’re building it from the ground up

Evaluation. Don’t evaluate with - they don’t do this or that. - they can’t do this or that. - they are not doing this or that. See it from this lens. - they need to be able to do this to play. - they aren’t doing this YET. - once this happens , they will get a lot better.

I think Cam Boozer is being underrated because people have this idea that he's a bruiser PF who solely relies on physical strength advantages to manufacture points at the basket without much thought into his equity as a perimeter player. And because he's not an overly explosive vertical finisher in traffic (no-step vert numbers), people have a tough time envisioning how he's best served as a "franchise face" with a top pick. In reality, his entire game is ACTUALLY built on mismatch hunting and floor mapping through his blend of mental processing, ball handling, shooting. He can get shots against almost anyone he wants because he can handle, call for a screen, operate in PnR, play inverted PnR, and operate as the screener/roller. He's not entirely built on post-up offense, even though he's strong enough to command a double on the block which favors his ability to pass.
nate@nateparis5

@DraftDeeper Do you think that is why people are underrating him? Because he will be one of those new unicorn superstars and there’s no obvious comp/people laugh off any parallels to current unicorns like Steph/Jokic/Luka types?

@WorldWideWob You hit the nail on the head and it’s sad to see how many people in the comments disagree. The alternate uniforms have largely always been the coolest ones for a team but part of what made them so cool was that they were rarely worn and that made them feel even more special.

I see we have some new players in the NBA jersey arena. Its ethos, and our fight, has been centered around one key principle: home basketball teams wear white at every level of the game, in every league in the world. It is quite simply a basketball tradition, without it being a written requirement. What Nike has done has not only oversaturated the market with mostly unpopular designs, but uniforms that get left behind after just one season. The constant turnover has one goal: sell as many jerseys as possible, at any cost, even at the expense of the franchise’s brand equity. It is a statistical fact and focus group tested/proven that children like new jerseys, and their parents buy them. Non-white City Edition/Classic uniforms are often worn at home, it has a minimum appearance mandate because of the NBA’s partnership with Nike, forcing the away opponent to have to wear their home whites when they’re chosen. Every NBA game that’s played where the home team is not wearing white is a papercut to the sport’s tradition. Not the NBA’s, but basketball’s. It won’t be a tradition that’s destroyed overnight, but as children grow up and it becomes more-and-more accepted because it was never something they cared about or understood, the home whites will eventually be perceived to be just another option. You will rarely, if ever, see an NHL home team in their away white sweaters. Even though it’s the opposite of basketball, NHL/hockey have always maintained the tradition of the home team’s fashion look. I like to think they do this because it is something their paying customers appreciate and continue to support with their wallets. What the NBA doesn’t understand is the sales spreadsheet may suggest that this new jersey strategy is working because so many people are buying them, but what they are sacrificing to achieve these short-term results is the legacy of the sport that made them so cool in the first place. This business strategy, undoubtedly, will lead to apathetic fashion, market dilution, and diminishing returns with no ability to revert back — because that culture, both literally and figuratively, will be dead.

Ja Morant has a future .... and i think it's in Phoenix. "a true point guard that they haven't had since Chris Paul, Devin Booker gets to go back to his natural position (...) i don't think Ja Morant is damaged goods (...) he just needs the right situation." @CBSSports

@matissa15 Cade, Brunson, Mitchell I’d only have Brunson ahead of Mitchell in an offense like Mike Brown’s where he’s getting his teammates super involved. When Brunson plays too much iso ball, he and Mitchell are kind of on the same level to me.

@BenGarciaShow The championship or bust mentality isn’t just annoying and shortsighted but it also causes teams to tear down good foundations way too quickly. Patience is a skill
