The memory in Claude is starting to annoy me. Over the last couple of weeks it seems to be over indexing every chat in trying to found itself in the memories first. But I often want a more generic answer or am doing something different than anything else I’ve done before.

You almost always win when you just keep going and say to yourself I will continue until I figure it out. You just have to be relentless long enough for luck to find you.

@Shpigford Is this because you’ve discussed the status with 🦞 or it has access to something where you track the status?

one of the interesting bits of personal AI tools (like 🦞) is that effectively always has context. i get a daily summary that includes some business banking updates and today it mentioned i'd spent ~$1000 over the past 48 hours. off the top of my head i couldn't remember what that was for, so i asked. it pulled in the last ~48 hours of transactions and listed out a summary of that. but what was a nice touch was that it knew and referenced a project i've been working on and associated certain transactions with it automatically. even mentioned how some of those costs should go down because it knows the *status* of that project. it's a little thing but such a nice touch.

Lots of non tech friends want openclaws. So far i've set them up on VMs, but this is getting heavy. Are there any good multi-tenant openclaw setups or alt-claws yet that are good enough?

Really not sure how I feel about this. I love supporting great tech like Convex, on the other hand, I’m already paying for so many different services I’m happy to not add another one today.

I built a thing on the free tier of @convex and quickly ran into my limits. In the past, I would have paid up for a higher tier because it wouldn’t be worth refactoring. Now, since I’m running my own servers anyway, just asked codex to refactor. 30 minutes later… no need to pay.

@steipete @levelsio This may be true on this pointed changes, but I’ve had way more luck with claude code when it comes to building delightful user experiences. Tried desperately to use codex for several weeks and it always looks like an engineer built it.

@levelsio When doing this and controlling from the app, it still seems to want to ask permission for every single little command it wants to call. Have you gotten it to actually obey the yolo mode?
