“Don’t come back to Peckham!” A walk of shame for police and immigration enforcement officers, leaving the estate after releasing the person they detained. Community solidarity works.

It’s actually the same *illegal* basis as before, aiding the aggressor in the war. The ‘defensive’ rationale cannot apply when the aggressor is carrying out the attacks.

Breaking: Britain has given the US the green light to use RAF Fairford and Diego Garcia to carry out raids on Iranian missile sites that are attacking ships in the Strait of Hormuz It's the same legal basis as before - collective self-defence - but the targets are new. They are being described once again as 'US defensive operations' rather than offensive strikes “Ministers condemned Iran’s expansion of its targets to include international shipping. They agreed that Iran’s reckless strikes, including on Red Ensign vessels and those of our close allies and Gulf partners, risked pushing the region further into crisis and worsening the economic impact being felt in the UK and around the world. “They confirmed that the agreement for the US to use UK bases in the collective self-defence of the region includes US defensive operations to degrade the missile sites and capabilities being used to attack ships in the Strait of Hormuz. “They reaffirmed that the principles behind the UK’s approach to the conflict remain the same: the UK remains committed to defending our people, our interests and our allies, acting in accordance with international law and not getting drawn into the wider conflict. “Ministers underlined the need for urgent de-escalation and a swift resolution to the war.”

The zombie Atlanticists in the permanent state would lead us into the apocalypse if it would please Washington. Only a matter of time.

Britain’s involvement in the war on Iran is Peak Starmer: lie about it, deceive the public, be given cover by complicit media, but position UK so that the Iranians consider us belligerents whilst Trump considers us lily-livered objectors. Act without principle, please nobody.

Today I$rael tried to kill me in a targeted airstrike in southern Lebanon as I was reporting on was the targeting of bridges and the forced displacement of 1 million people, an ethnic cleansing operation on a larger scale than the Nakba I have absolutely no doubt that this was deliberate. Despite claims there were no warnings ahead of the strike and no notifications sent to the Lebanese Army who allowed us to film As we have seen in Gaza they want to silence journalists who document and report their war crimes It is the western powers who provide political and military support for I$rael, arming it to the teeth to carry out genocide in Gaza and ethnic cleansing here in Lebanon. They are not simply complicit, but active participants and should be held accountable for their actions. But if I$rael thinks today’s strike will silence us and keep us out of the field they are very, very mistaken

I genuinely think writers over 40 don’t realize how bad things are for those younger than them. There’s a fundamental disconnect happening here in terms of not only rates but networking, practical knowledge, and things like housing costs and debt. Two ships passing in the night.

Settlers reportedly tied up his arms and legs, cut off his underwear, zip-tied his penis, then paraded him around his family while beating him. Corroborated by multiple witnesses.

Israeli settlers have increasingly used violence against Palestinians in a bid to drive them from their homes in the occupied West Bank. But sexual assault appears to be a new weapon in these settlers’ arsenal of intimidation, pointing to a troubling new level of violence. cnn.it/4du8vj6

Hizbullah’s record-breaking strike 200 km deep into Ashkelon, near the Gaza envelope settlements, has effectively transformed it from a ‘northern front’ problem into a force capable of putting Israel’s entire strategic depth at risk. This again points to Hizbullah's regenerative deterrent capacity, which developed not in spite of, but because of conditions of decapitated leadership, intense surveillance, disrupted supply lines, and a hostile internal political environment. In short, Israel’s systematic strangulation of the resistance and its support base has only strengthened its capacity for horizontal escalation. None of this will be without cost to Hizbullah or the resistance community, but it does mean that Israel cannot expand the war geographically without exposing its own strategic depth and wearing down its historically fragile home front resilience.

Good start. Next steps: introduce licences for breeding & ideally ownership; ban dogs from local playing fields; hike fines for fouling to c. £500+; change the law on dangerous dogs to make it an automatic manslaughter charge if the dog kills someone bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…

The Guardian posts footage of Israel flattening an entire residential building in Beirut. Apparently there’s no room to mention this is a war crime. But there’s plenty of space for Israel’s propaganda calling it an attack on Hezbollah.

🚨 BREAKING: Israel has struck Iran’s South Pars gas field, the world’s largest natural gas field and a core pillar of Iran’s energy supply. The major escalation comes alongside reported impacts on other oil and petrochemical facilities in the Assaluyeh area of Bushehr province, according to multiple reports. IRGC-linked Tasnim News issued an urgent warning urging people to immediately leave major oil and gas sites in Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Qatar, saying they had become “direct and legitimate targets” that could be struck within hours. They listed: ➤ Samref Refinery — Saudi Arabia ➤ Al Hosn Gas Field — UAE ➤ Jubail Petrochemical Complex — Saudi Arabia ➤ Mesaieed Petrochemical Complex — Qatar ➤ Ras Laffan Refinery — Qatar The report added: “Previously, clear and repeated warnings were given to your rulers about entering this dangerous path and gambling with the fate of their nations.”

There will be stronger condemnation from many nations over the bombing of oil facilities than they offered for the bombing of school girls in Iran. And if/when Iran retaliates against oil infrastructure in the region, it will be portrayed as naked Iranian aggression
