Out of curiosity, why is there so much pressure on Starmer to resign But no pressure on Nigel Farage who took a £5,000,000 gift from a foreign billionaire and coincidentally started calling for the very thing the foreign billionaire wants for the UK, crypto deregulation?

The media feeding frenzy today - in particular - has been a disgrace. Egging on Labour MPs in some sort of bid for chaos/excitement/column inches/podcast stats. This isn’t a game or a spectator sport. It’s the running of our country. Shameful.

@clarkaw @richardpbacon The media (both social & legacy) and MPs need to do some soul searching. If you applied this level of hysteria to 2 years of thatcher she’d have been ejected before she could even begin the first miners strike (good or not). Politics is broken, by those claiming to be fixing it

If Starmer is forced out, he’ll be the fifth PM in a row to last less than a full term. There are some structural issues making the job near impossible. Changing the name above the door won’t fix it.

If Labour MPs detonate this government, the calls for an early general election will be immediate. Reform will claim that whoever succeeds Starmer will be illegitimate, because they didn’t win the election. The media will hound them, as relentlessly as they have Starmer, and the cycle continues. This all plays into Reform’s hands. It’s exactly what they want.

It's Sir David Attenborough's 100th birthday and in 1980 he faced questions from an audience of young viewers about his life and television career. Lesley Judd hosted the show, and Attenborough talked about making a connection with gorillas, and his concerns for the environment.

Every performance by Kobbie Mainoo, every game he plays for Michael Carrick, every involvement like that well-taken goal, makes Ruben Amorim’s treatment of him even more bizarre and counter-productive. Home-grown, hungry and talented. #MUNLIV

The ball may have hit Sesko's finger nail, but Curtis Jones should have seen red for pulling Sesko back with a clear goal-scoring chance......Funny that Sky is not talking about this?

@samuelluckhurst He was dreadful felt like almost every decision went against United to try and level the playing field and turn it into a competition. You’re right it was United who gifted Liverpool a way back but game would’ve been so different if a ref actually gave decisions on merit.

Sir Alex Ferguson was taken to hospital after falling unwell at Old Trafford shortly before Manchester United's match against Liverpool. Sources stressed it was a precautionary move and not an emergency situation as Ferguson was taken from the stadium in an ambulance. Club officials are optimistic Ferguson will soon be fit enough to return home.

@terrychristian It’s equally mad because go 2.5 of his almost 3 seasons in charge it was great - a couple of dodgy buys upset the progress in hindsight and suddenly people are pretending the entirety of oles tenure was a disaster-it wasn’t

@imlirvingit It’s actually a lie and also a bit pointless. Firstly the lie - regulated fares have always been set by government even through privatisation. Govt has always had the ability to reduce fares. Second, if everyone is entitled to a third off, just lower all fares by a third?
