AAA wove the safest net around her corruption. Among the 350 illegal staff recruited during her term were children, spouses and siblings of Ministers, Judges, MPs & Security Chiefs. This crippled scrutiny. Most picked appointment letters, disappeared & got salary with no work!

Amid public outcry over drug shortages in government hospitals, the State House Health Monitoring Unit has recovered an assortment of stolen and expired medical supplies from Makerere Kikoni, Kampala. The seized cache included ARVs, expired HIV testing kits, and masks. According to unit head Dr. Warren Naamara, drug theft bleeds Uganda billions annually. #MonitorUpdates 📹 @kakumirizi2002

Uganda is such a funny country. PFF’s @DoreenNyanjura laughed at some NUP members appointed by the Lord Mayor, claiming they don’t know English. But honestly, since when did speaking a foreign language become the measure of competence and leadership? Do you think serving Ugandans only requires polished English? Leadership is about service, results, understanding people’s problems, and representing citizens effectively — not accents or grammar competitions. You people had your time. Stop this kind of nonsense and give others the chance to serve the people they were entrusted to lead. Respect people please 🙏

Thank you so much @SamsonMKasumba for looking out truly appreciated, munange. @JackieAkampwera and I go way back, and we’ve been good friends for years, so I completely understood the tone used 100%. The banter was misunderstood by many people, but I’m good. Let’s move forward. Now, when are we having that cup of coffee, @JackieAkampwera? And yes, I’m coming with uncle @SamsonMKasumba

A close family friend, Mr Andrew Lubega, is one of those that died in the tragic night accident where they knocked an elephant and it stomped them. Very painful, very sad. Apart from avoiding over-speeding, how can park accidents be avoided? What should one do when they meet elephants on the road at night?

This is to inform the entire country that I have officially withdrawn from the Speakership race. Moving forward, I will fully rally behind the candidates the NRM has selected today for both Speaker and Deputy Speaker. I want to extend my deepest gratitude to all Ugandans for the overwhelming support and love you have shown me during this campaign period. May God bless you all abundantly! Congratulations to my colleagues, Hon. Jacob Oboth, and Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa on your endorsements!!! 👏 May God bless you all abundantly, and may He bless our motherland. 🇺🇬

Emerging allegations suggest that former Speaker Among and former Deputy Speaker Tayebwa were both deeply implicated in corruption at Parliament. This diagram points to a wider network of patronage, nepotism and mutual appointments surrounding Tayebwa. Why then is he not stepping aside, as Among has, to allow an independent investigation into corruption at Parliament? If reinstated, would he not be in a position to interfere with evidence or influence witnesses? Is the NRM truly serious about fighting corruption? @KagutaMuseveni @Thomas_Tayebwa @CHRISBARYOMUNS1 @ccgea1 @FOWODE_UGANDA @AgoraCFR @AAgather

The Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the 11th Parliament have both been benefiting from the corruption in Parliament and were both happy with continuity into the 12th Parliament. Simple logic should tell you that once one is not eating, he or she would fight the other. Hon. Oboth Oboth should not mix his ticket with someone who is very corrupt. We are not lacking clean leaders. The saviour of the 12th Parliament is now likely to come from the women MPs. Let them decisively demand for the slot of Deputy Speaker and go out and vote for a female deputy speaker in big numbers. Let all the men competent for the Speaker position and one who is not corrupt will be voted into office.

@baryamureeba @NRMOnline Nrmo is in catch 22, May not have won elections fairly, and know it. 2. Doesn't know what the majority think about them. 3. Worried of the rebellion within.

In 1886, @NRMOnline ushered in a fundamental change and created district women MP seats to empower women across Uganda. NRM has always supported gender balance in parliament. Now in NRM, our motto is to consolidate gains in this new term. How can we consolidate gains by pushing for a Seeker and Deputy Speaker to be both male? Uhuru's proposal of lining up should not intimate the women MPs in Parliament. For once stand for a fellow woman. Decide on one woman MP who can be Deputy Speaker and rally behind her. You should have a spine to protect and consolidate the gains of over 40 years. All these men that want positions of both speaker and deputy speaker can be given slots in Cabinet. But we need a woman as either Deputy Speaker or Speaker of the 12th Parliament. Now be strategic and go for one of these positions.. and it should be the one of deputy Speaker.

There’s something certainly wrong with international Media houses especially when it comes to getting facts about Africa. As of today 22.05.2026, there are zero patients of Ebola in Uganda. The Ebola patient from Congo tested negative after treatment. Uganda has been the best at treating pandemics.

Per night. This is what a total number of nights looks like. Half a billion for one trip which was even “official leave”. The example I am using is still Among’s but I know for a fact that when her perdiem was increased to $4,000 a night, her deputy’s was increased to $3,500. He also got the annual official leave.

@AAgather But you people! When you say per diem of USD 3,500, do you mean per night or a total number of nights? Are we in the same impoverished country of Uganda with these people @Thomas_Tayebwa, @AnitahAmong and others? Do they sleep in the clouds whey they travel abroad?

@emmanuel_dombo The late chairman and his relatives know better. Once again why do all government officials go to Nakasero hospital rather than Mulago for "stabilisation" before being flown out. You have killed this country with corruption.

In the event of an accident, a hospital like Kayunga should be able to stabilise a patient before making a referral! To hurry to refer without stabilisation, what was it that the hospital lacks to hurry to refer a person who needed support?

Ebola has never come from Uganda why do you call it this name @WHO what is your agenda? Why not a name in the DRC villages where it actually comes from? There is a motive here and it is deliberate. We shall and should get to the bottom of this. @RMalango2021 what are these cooking here? We need to out fox this sinister ploy!
