@justdebbb Yeah it’s a lot of internal comms work and if the company can dig into that and handle that (less not more politics) then that is 100000% the way to go

I’m curious at this point (finally after 41 years)…
Everyone in SEO talks about PR and AI and PR and brand and LLMs and so forth…
But most companies are insanely siloed so could someone explain to me how folks are actually doing any of this?

I personally know of many companies right now that are producing content "just for LLMs"
Glenn Gabe described it as:
Scaling pages that answer every imaginable question around a specific topic (so basically scaled content abuse).
Pumping out a ton of AI-generated content to flood the LLMs (and Google/Bing) with content optimized for many different prompts.

My bets on what the next Google core algorithm update will devalue, based on my experience working closely on Google algo updates for 15+ years: - an influx of thin, robotic pages meant to influence LLMs - repetitive "best" listicle articles, especially self-serving ones - keyword/entity-stuffing, which has seen a resurgence with GEO - excessive AI-generated or AI-assisted content + low engagement - the above point but scaled quickly across many URLs - excessive artificial "chunking" at the expense of readability/UX - obvious spam tactics for GEO like prompt injection And as a reminder... Google algo updates can affect AI Search visibility - and not just on Google's AI surfaces.

yep I use that too
but for this specific one taking over the tab and navigating around Comet Assistant is way better than Gemini Deep Research just fetching HTML of a single page & building answers per that rather than having some context of how the navigation on site actually is.

probably the best utility of Comet/Assistant in my SEO workflows is helping me to get some quick idea about the products before going into SEO pitch meeting. Flying to Gold Coast tomorrow for this pitch but as I'm not interested in anything related to cars/utes parts, now using Comet to quickly skim through all products & prepare my notes around what the heck these parts actually do 😅
