The Israeli army advanced into residential areas and opened fire directly on civilians, forcing families to flee, leaving behind their homes, belongings, and everything they owned in a desperate attempt to survive.
During the displacement, the brother of one of my friends was killed before his eyes. My friend was unable to carry or bury his brother’s body after Israeli soldiers threatened to kill him if he approached it, forcing him to leave and abandon his brother’s body behind.
Israel has committed horrific massacres and crimes against us, leaving behind suffering and tragedies that are beyond words.

Qais al-Bakir, his pregnant wife, and their six children were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the southern Lebanese village of Adloun near Tyre. The family, originally from Syria, fled Syria for refuge in Lebanon.
According to Qais’s brother, the family received no warning before the strike. Their bodies are expected to be returned to their hometown in Syria for burial.

Today I watched as an Israeli flag flew over Beaufort Castle, a @UNESCO world heritage site. I watched as the Israeli army bombed the area with white phosphorus. I photographed the destroyed castle with the Israeli flag flying over it; as if they are proud of the destruction they caused.
Shame on you and your correspondents in Beirut.
