BREAKING: Justin Trudeau just through Mark Carney under the bus on an unhinged rant about China throwing BAGS of unlimited cash at Canada. He says China has unlimited money and demand for Canada 🇨🇦 but we can’t do that they don’t share our values.

PM Carney on the Americans calling the alcohol ban an irritant: "You know what's an irritant? 50% tariffs on steel. 50% tariffs on aluminum. 25% tariffs on automobiles. All the tariffs on forest products. Those are more than irritants, those are violations of our trade deal."

A Bloc member stood in the House today and repeatedly called Alberta oil “dirty oil”. It’s the cleanest, most environmentally friendly oil in the world. I hate the lies coming from the Bloc as much as I hate the lies by the Liberals.

Tom Mulcair: "Mark Carney has never said he's going to try to walk away from the Canada-U.S. relationship. That's a falsehood that Lutnick is putting forward. That Pierre Poilievre was also putting forward."

Pierre Poilievre being chauffeured around like a celebrity or elite with taxpayer’s money. The chauffeur even opens the door for him. Weird that Pierre likes to continuously remind Canadians that he’s anti-elite? Yet here he is loving every minute! Hypocrite?!

Mark Carney is provoking the U.S. over trade. This makes no sense if the goal is to get the best deal possible. But it makes perfect sense when you realize the goal is to pick a fight with Trump, blame the recession on him, and ride a wave of anti-Americanism in an election.

🌞Good morning Canada. Yesterday's post on the C-226 vote generated 123 replies from Conservative supporters. Here's what that response looked like. The dominant argument: "it doesn't lower prices." Repeated in nearly identical language across dozens of accounts. Coordinated or just well-trained, hard to say. Notable moments: one user confidently cited a completely different Bill C-226 about environmental racism. Another pointed to the Food Professor as a neutral expert. You know, the one funded by grocery chains. One user threatened to vote Yes on Alberta separation. Another posted a doctored image of Carney. What nobody did: explain the record. Conservatives voted against the national school food program while Poilievre campaigned on food bank usage. They voted against the NDP motion to force grocery chains to lower prices or face caps, alongside the Liberals, to be fair. And now C-226. No, no, no. The playbook is consistent. Deflect to carbon tax. Claim bureaucracy. Attack the messenger. Never address the vote on the record. 168 Yea. 150 Nay. The bill advances to committee. That part didn't come up much in 123 replies. You grab a coffee ☕️. I'll pour myself a glassof wine (€0.25), along with whole roasted chicken (€5.00), and roasted potatoes (a bag for €1.50). #cdnpoli

An "entry fee" to start trade talks? CBC is lying to you. Let's have a real discussion on cross border trade talks, but you won't get it from most of our national media. torontosun.com/opinion/column…

Let me go through those steps : 1/2 First of all, Canada maintains an aggressive diplomatic campaign in Washington to protect a bilateral relationship where the country stands as the top export destination for over 30 states. Dominic LeBlanc (@DLeBlancNB) serves as the dedicated Minister for Canada and US Trade. PM Mark Carney (@MarkJCarney) held multiple direct calls with Donald Trump (@realDonaldTrump) and traveled to D.C. twice specifically to manage the disruption. Canada canceled the Digital Services Tax, canceled reciprocal tariffs, and even apologized for an Ontario television ad to keep negotiations active. 👉The "elbows up embarrassment" framing also ignores WHO started this. The US initiated the current trade war through unilateral tariffs. Just Yesterday, USTR Jamieson Greer (@USTradeRep) said publicly on April 22 that American and Canadian trade philosophies no longer align, faulting Canada specifically for supporting globalization. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick (@howardlutnick) is actively dismantling the continental free trade framework. The Trump administration is firmly closing the door on an integrated, tariff free continental zone. Donald Trump (@realDonaldTrump) keeps repeating that the US does not need Canada. He knows the US heavily depends on Canadian energy, critical minerals, and integrated supply chains. The pressure tactics will continue, and Canada will land a deal.

How to lose a trade negotiation Step 1: travel to minor, inconsequential markets for a year. Fail to reverse the decade of Liberal policies making Canada the second poorest US state after Mississippi. Step 2: play up a performative “middle power resistance” schtick and mis-cite Vaclev Havel - whose antagonism to political cynicism would hate this ‘elbows up’ embarrassment. Step 3: run out of time and strategic options while Mexico creates a bilateral alternative to CUSMA. In 1812, our generals weren’t playing with figurines their New York friends gave them and talking about previous battles to prepare the nation for an anticipated failure from their own lack of preparation and focus. Canada has a generational opportunity to create the largest and most consequential free trade zone with the largest economy in the world. This video is a national embarrassment.

You hate Mark Carney because he’s a Liberal. Fine. But I keep hearing “he’s done nothing” from people who can’t name a single policy. So here are the receipts from his first 12 months: 1 - Killed the consumer carbon tax. Gone on day one. 2 - Scrapped the EV mandate. Replaced it with a $5,000 rebate and choice. 3 - Reversed the capital gains tax hike. 4 - Passed the One Canadian Economy Act (C-5) to tear down interprovincial trade barriers. 5 - Cut 40,000 federal jobs with a plan to actually shrink government. 6 - Slashed immigration targets to match housing and infrastructure capacity. 7 - Hit NATO’s 2% target with $82B in new defence spending. 8 - Launched Build Canada Homes + a Major Projects Office fast-tracking 20+ projects. 9 - 26 international trips, China canola tariffs reduced, $97B in foreign investment secured. Read it again: carbon tax gone. EV mandate gone. capital gains reversed. immigration down. defence up. trade barriers down. government trimmed. You don’t have to like him. You don’t have to vote for him. But saying “he’s done nothing” after that list isn’t analysis, it’s selective memory. #canpoli #cdnpoli #LIB2026 #markcarney
