As a developer, have you ever wondered: You type a 16‑digit card number and the form instantly says “Invalid card number”. There are billions of possible numbers. How the hell is that check that fast?

A woman was a pastor AND worked for Jeffery Epstein AND KNEW he was a pedo when she worked for him. Vile. I never hear drag queens in these stories, only pastors. thehill.com/homenews/state…

The NY Times, Washington Post, CNN, BBC, CBS 60 Minutes, etc. all make it sound like the war against the Islamic regime of Iran is floundering, at best, or is a failure, at worst. This is so wrong that I'm gobsmacked that the media has misled so many people. Here's the facts: As of this morning, U.S. and Israel have completely decapitated the Islamic regime (see image below). Its navy sits on the bottom of the sea with over a 100 ships sunk. It is no longer able to fire more than 1-2 ballistic missiles per day, and soon it will be zero. The Basijii thugs who slaughtered 1000s of innocent Iranians two months ago are themselves being wiped out and are running away at the faintest sound of a drone (these are hilarious videos). Islamic regime foreign diplomats are requesting asylum in mutiple countries. There are reports of regime troops refusing to show up for duty in Iran. The war is succeeding in the goals of its phases. It will ultimately remove the greatest source of global terrorism and an imminent nuclear threat to all Western countries, including the U.S. and Israel. What comes next? Hopefully something better. The future is never 100% certain. But the Allies had no idea in WW2 what would come next after the surrender of the Nazis and Imperial Japan, and today these countries are some of the closest allies of the U.S. There are significant signs from the Shah and Iranians themselves that they could do the same. Let us hope, but whatever happens, the elimination of the 47-year holy war against the West is a good thing. And just about anything is better than a nuclear-armed religious regime that explicitly seeks an apocalypse with the U.S. and Israel.

I don't think you understand how election fixing works. If you're going to fix an election, you don't just add a few extra votes, you ensure the win. That's why it's genuinely retarded to say that in 2016, 2020, and 2024, the only election the Democrats rigged was the president in 2020. If we were rigging elections we will be winning a lot more than that. You need to get your head out of Trump's ass and understand that the reality is he's just a moron. And half of the electric understands that and just hates him. We're not cheating, we just hate evil people.

First, I applaud you in just spending time trying to invent something you're passionate about. Never lose that. But ethernet is not going anywhere and it's absolutely not a relic. Right now ethernet is powering petabits of connectivity around the world, in orbit, and around the Moon and Mars. Ethernet is not just an 8 wire cable, it's actually the protocol that runs on top of the wires. Ethernet is how wifi works, and fiber, and ethernet over USB, and a hundred other transmission media. It evolves constantly, today's ethernet is not the ethernet of even 10 years ago. That said, I don't see a market for THIS device, it doesn't solve any problems that other devices don't already solve. Why would I use this over a usb to wifi or usb to wired network adapter, or a travel router, or wifi and the VPN in my laptop? It looks like all it does in the end is swap an ethernet cable for a usb cable. Keep thinking!

This is a bit serious. I really need your feedback. Long story short, I think Ethernet is a relic of the past and should be confined to walls and floors. Modern laptops and many devices are moving away from it in favor of Wi-Fi, which isn’t always convenient and ends up requiring adapters and dongles on desks. So I thought, what if we made a router with USB ports that essentially act as USB-to-Ethernet adapters inside the router? In my personal experience, this would be super cool for certain use cases. For example, at a conference booth, WiFi or Ethernet could be used as an uplink to the router. And the router could have a VPN set up to the company network. For a HomeLab, this is a pretty neat setup as a demo stand. And it would work just fine as a travel router, too. Would you like to see a device like this come to life? This could very well be the first hardware product from developers, made for developers. I mean, from JetBrains. On the technical side, I have some rough ideas for features and unique capabilities. For example, automatic detection of the WAN port regardless of where you plug in the network (the device has 2 Ethernet ports). I’d be happy to dive into the details in the near future. I’d appreciate it if you shared this post - if only because it adds a bit of variety to your feed, which I’m sure is full of AI content and news about AI, offering something tangible and practical.

I finished watching F1 on Apple TV last night, the movie with Brad Pitt. It was genuinely a great movie. I don't even like car racing and it was exciting!
