@ratzlaff Phone cameras have come a looong way but perhaps help create unrealistic expectations? I can easily take a photo of the Aurora with my phone but can’t see it naked eye.

People still very quick to discount cellphone cameras for Aurora photography, but today's cellphones are definitely rivaling yesterday's SLRs!
