Would you be prepared to pay higher water bills to stop sewage spilling into our rivers?
That's what might be required according to a new report.
If that's the answer to get sewage-free rivers, would you back it?

In our new `snitch society` courts are going to be busy places. What really need is a return to police presence on roads to eradicate bad driving

I haven't had one of these before. Racking my brains to work out whether N49 ABL could have any legal reason to pull this move. Advice welcome on whether to send this film to @metpoliceuk.
@Jontafkasi Folks are going waaayy over the top about this lady. She lost her temper and had a rant, tragically shocking a cyclist who lost control of her bike. She's not some evil, satanic murderer. She just made a tragic mistake which she probably regrets. No winners here.
@theJeremyVine@MansfieldCat@metpoliceuk@SonOfTheWinds@MikeyCycling@AndyCoxDCS Not disagreeing but a driver who captures a cyclist breaking the law or rules of the road can't report it as there are no reg numbers or anything the police can follow up on.
Not all cyclists/drivers are law a bidding on the road... Fact.
@SpainNick@theJeremyVine@MansfieldCat@metpoliceuk@SonOfTheWinds@MikeyCycling@AndyCoxDCS Yet sooooo difficult for motorists to report those who ride cycles dangerously even if they are caught on camera.
You see, there’s this little difference between car and cyclists and that is anonymity.
Cyclists have it, car drivers don’t.
Level the playing field.
@tinytim0101@hllsen@marydejevsky That's why she was convicted of manslaughter. If she had the intent to kill or prior knowledge that her actions would kill her it would be murder.
'Sentencing Grey, Judge Enright said she was "territorial about the pavement" and "resented" the cyclist being there.'
er, wasn't she right to be 'territorial' about the pavement? hope she appeals

@chris_ril3y@CyclingInASkirt Do emergency vehicles have less rights on the road? Or how about the nearly one million disabled drivers who who get a concession on VED? Neither pay do they deserve less rights?
@CyclingInASkirt Im always shocked that when a cyclists who wants more rights on the road that a tax paying car, approaches a red light and chooses it’s no longer a road user and cycles through that light, or often mount the payment to cross with pedestrians.
I’m always shocked SHOCKED I tell you that motorists cannot bring themselves to stay the hell out of the tiny bit of road put there to keep me safe.
