Just finished reading Liverdoc’s Citizens Protein project 2 on pharma protein powders line by line and I’m honestly shocked. We routinely prescribe these powders to patients, trusting that they’re safe as drug regulating authorities have cleared them . But the reports of commonly used pharma protein powders are horrifying. Where are our government bodies? Where are the drug regulatory authorities? Are they just taking salaries and doing nothing? How are these brands getting approved? They’re adding heavy metals, taurine, excess sugars, and ingredients that can genuinely harm patients and yet they still get clear approval. If this is not regulatory failure, what is? It’s hard to digest the fact that in this country, there seems to be zero accountability when it comes to people’s lives. A sincere request: Don’t blindly buy pharma protein powders .just because they being sold in pharmacy stores doesn’t mean they are safe . If you need supplementation, choose a good quality whey protein, not these so called pharma grade powders. We need stricter controls, transparent testing, and real accountability. Lives depend on it. Top 10% of Indians earn 57% of national income. The rest 90% earns 43%. GDP percapita of India is $2700. If you remove top 10% of population, for the balance 90% the GDP percapita is only $1300. This is worser than even subsaharan Africa and Pakistan. As I repeat, if you are not among top 150 million but part of the balance 1300 million, everyday is a literal hell. Since 150 million is a huge number, the country appears prosperous than what it actually is. As Indus Valley report pointed out, 1000 million Indians has absolutely zero purchasing power. They cannot spend anything beyond very basic needs. They are surviving only with government support. As a country, we've a very long way to go.
