I love this 👇🏼 ‘My best friend in Brighton, Ben, who is even less Jewish than me, was once sitting in a pub garden on a hot day, wearing a Krav Maga T-shirt with, underneath it, a tiny Star of David and IDF logo in Hebrew. A young woman came up to him. “I find your T-shirt really offensive,” she said to him. “Oh, I’m sorry,” he said. “I’ll take it off.” So he did. And underneath it was an elaborate and rather beautiful tattoo of another Star of David, about ten times larger than the one on his clothing. The woman left the pub.’ Full piece below.

Absolute perfection. Avinatan Or’s boss at @nvidia writes to him, read till the end: “Avinatan Or, I hope you have a good excuse for not showing up to work at NVIDIA for 738 days. But every Sunday morning for two years, the head of NVIDIA Israel’s HR, Gideon Rosenberg, sent an email to all employees counting the days you were in captivity and calling everyone to join him for a reminder vigil in front of the Kirya gate, held every Sunday evening. Even the global CEO, Jensen Huang, mentioned your name in every quarterly internal meeting, telling 40,000 employees that their colleague was being held captive by Hamas. How wonderful that you’ve returned home. I heard you have an amazing girlfriend who’s eagerly waiting for you, loving parents, that you work at a place that cares for you, and I also have some pretty good news about what’s happened with your stocks over the past two years.”

Did you know that accusing Jews of wanting to commit genocide was a lie the Nazis came up with for Arab audiences while they were carrying out the Holocaust? Did you know that saying Israel is a coloniser/ white supremacist/ apartheid/ state is part of a ‘placard strategy’ of disinformation created by the Soviets? Did you know that ‘UN-washing’ means that Hamas tells a lie, it’s spread by the UN and then picked up by global media organisations to spread Hamas propaganda? Did you know that social media algorithms deliberately target Muslims with images of dead children to stir up hatred against Jews? Looking into the global disinformation war against Israel was truly fascinating. Much thanks to @EinatWilf @davidtoube @LordWalney and the many others who helped with the piece below 👇🏼

Dear Members of the @PulitzerPrizes board, My name is Emily Damari. I was held hostage in Gaza for over 500 days. On the morning of October 7, I was at home in my small studio apartment in Kibbutz Kfar Aza when Hamas terrorists burst in, shot me and dragged me across the border into Gaza. I was one of 251 men, women, children, and elderly people kidnapped that day from their beds, their homes, and a music festival. For almost 500 days I lived in terror. I was starved, abused, and treated like I was less than human. I watched friends suffer. I watched hope dim. And even now, after returning home, I carry that darkness with me - because my best friends, Gali and Ziv Berman are still being held in the Hamas terror tunnels. So imagine my shock and pain when I saw that you awarded a Pulitzer Prize to Mosab Abu Toha. This is a man who, in January, questioned the very fact of my captivity. He posted about me on Facebook and asked, “How on earth is this girl called a hostage?” He has denied the murder of the Bibas family. He has questioned whether Agam Berger was truly a hostage. These are not word games - they are outright denials of documented atrocities. You claim to honor journalism that upholds truth, democracy, and human dignity. And yet you have chosen to elevate a voice that denies truth, erases victims, and desecrates the memory of the murdered. Do you not see what this means? Mosab Abu Toha is not a courageous writer. He is the modern-day equivalent of a Holocaust denier. And by honoring him, you have joined him in the shadows of denial. This is not a question of politics. This is a question of humanity. And today, you have failed it.

As the daughter of a retired teacher (who was a union member), I entirely agree.

My pinned post may show why I’m not a fan of the @NEUnion But now their local reps are holding my children and others in their school to ransom. Both my boys have national exams - GCSEs and A Levels - this year in a few weeks time. For some subjects, they haven’t yet been taught the full curriculum, let alone started revision. Because of a local dispute they’ve had six strike days in the last three weeks. The NEU is now threatening another NINE strike days in the next few weeks unless the headteachers manage to magic some money they don’t have. I don’t think teachers should be allowed to do this to children ahead of the biggest exams of their lives. @CatherineWest1 @bphillipsonMP @LauraTrottMP

Tsahi Idan’s family was just notified that his body is expected to be returned home tonight. They held on to hope for 509 days. Do not shield your eyes from this last image of Tsahi. Moments before, his 18-year-old daughter, Maayan was shot by terrorists and died in his arms. They took his wife Gali’s phone and livestreamed the horrors from her Facebook page to all her friend. The family was huddled on the kitchen floor, covered in Maayan's blood, this kids asking "are they killing us? are they killing us"? It shouldn’t end this way. Please never forget Tsahi and Maayan.

HORRIFIC NEW DETAILS on the captivity of Sagui Dekel-Chen, Iair Horn, and Sasha Troufanov: • They were primarily held in Khan Yunis, only a few hundred meters from Kibbutz Nir Oz. • Sagui was briefly held in a Gaza HOSPITAL in 2023. • They were given little food and SALT WATER to drink. • Hamas interrogated and tortured hostages for intelligence information. • All of them were cut off from the media. • Sagui and Iair were held together, alongside 3 other hostages. • Sasha spent almost his entire captivity in isolation. • They spent the majority of their captivity in tunnels. • Iair was originally held with his brother, Eitan, but then the two were separated. Before his release, he was forced to speak about his brother on camera. • They were forced to write “letters of gratitude” to their captors. Spending 498 days in captivity, knowing your family and home are only a few hundred meters away, is unbearable. Hamas’ evil is beyond anything we could imagine.

Hamas Hostage Mia Shem addresses the UN. “Not a single humanitarian agency saw me or treated me, even as my arm got worse. Where was the Red Cross? Where was the UN demanding that they have access to us?” “On day fifty, I was lowered into the tunnels of hell, where I was kept in a small cage with five other Israeli women. When I returned home, I needed life-saving surgery on my arm. It's been over a year and the UN hasn’t lifted a finger to free the hostages. You sit here in your comfortable chairs, debating the lives of my friends as if they are a political issue and not innocent people being tortured by terrorists. I ask you, Why do we even have a United Nations if it won’t stand for us in the darkest of moments?”

FIRST TESTIMONY OF RESCUED HOSTAGE FARHAN AL-QADI "I was injured after they shot my leg. We were first in an apartment, and there was almost no food there.. A few weeks after they kidnapped us, the terrorists filmed one of my fellow hostages in a video showing how he was dying slowly. Right after that, they filmed me as well, and then I saw how he was murdered in captivity. When I returned from captivity, I realized they had never released my video, only his. At that time, I had a field surgery to remove the bullet from my leg. The surgery was done with no anesthesia, and was extremely painful.. After a few months, the terrorists moved me to a tunnel where I was alone, surrounded only by terrorists..I couldn't tell the difference between day and night. They were masked and mainly gave me a slice of bread to eat, there was very little food.. Once a month, there was a shower with water in a basin. For the last few months, I was alone in the tunnel, without anyone, in complete darkness. They said that the tunnel is trapped and that if I’ll move-I’ll die. I used to put my hands over my eyes just to check that I could still see because it was so dark. In the last few days, the terrorists left me with a bit of bread and left me alone in the tunnel. Then after a while, I heard someone speaking Hebrew, and I realized these were our soldiers."

I have to admit, I am absolutely furious the IDF rescued an Arab Muslim Bedioun, Qaid. I am not angry they saved him. I am absolutely thrilled for him and his family. He should be welcomed home and given a hero's welcome. But, in the Arab world, except for the UAE, only a high-ranking General or millionaire would receive the treatment Qaid received. If the Arab world treated us like this, I would have never left. That's why I am absolutely fuming. At a time when Jews treat a Muslim with such dignity, the Palestinian Authority and Hamas murder Palestinian activists who even whisper a few words of dissent. It tells you everything you need to know, doesn't it? Qaid was escorted like a VIP by soldiers who took him to a helicopter to transport him to a hospital for a medical examination, by world-class healthcare professionals. He then received a phone call from the Jewish Prime Minister, wishing him well and welcoming him home. I wish every Arab lived in the state of Israel. If they all were granted the rights and privileges of living in Israel, they would have been more Zionist than Herzl himself!

Zionists never engage in any meaningful discussions : they just call you liar , antisemitic , Nazi and never try to refute anything you say . Example : I mentioned that Israel gave Ethiopian Jewish women contraceptive shots for more than 14 years to prevent them from reproducing. Even Netanyahu came out in 2012 and apologized . And yet they say I lied about that . They are a bunch of liars and cry babies and have nothing but blackmailing people with stupid accusations to shut down the conversation. Keep lying keep bitching . We see you and we laugh at you .
