Severity of the alleged crime (multiple murders) and protection of others( he intimidated and threatened witnesses in defo case) are considered.
He didn’t apply for bail, presumably legal eagle advice.

No, they did not.
BRS was initially in 3 Squadron from 2003 and then transferred to 2 in 2009.
Schulz was in 3 Squadron in 2012 (Rotation XVII).
They were in different squadrons in 2012... records show no evidence of them sharing the same troop or patrol.
