If you think Joe Biden is the favorite in this race, you have become completely detached from reality. No objective analyst would say that an incumbent at 37% is anything but a massive underdog. Let alone every other devastating poll result on the economy and demographic groups. The only question is how low are his chances? No one in their right mind thinks he has a better than 40% chance. I think it's now lower than 10%. Even at the upper edge of credulity, why would the Democrats hobble into the most important election of our lifetimes with a candidate who starts with a giant deficit? I can't believe how nonchalant other Democrats are about losing.

David Eby is exactly right when he said that "the conversation within our party on the issues raised by Anjali during this campaign must continue." The new members who were motivated by climate to join the BC NDP are an important to the future of our party and I welcome them.

Incoming BC NDP leader and future premier @Dave_Eby speaking to reporters in Vancouver right now. Says this is all happening very quickly and is working on details on transition. Will become premier-designate tomorrow morning, and work out details on transition from there.
