Second time I’ve been delayed overnight on @AmericanAir and all they offer is a $12 meal voucher and nothing else. Joke of customer service

@AmericanAir our flight was delayed so we will miss our connecting flight-We were put on a connecting flight tomorrow instead. We were only given a $12 meal voucher to use in the airport (only because I asked for it) and nothing else. Can you please do something else for us?

@AmericanAir Yeah they didn’t offer anything else. AND they only gave us meal vouchers because I asked for them. They never offered them. So you are saying there is nothing else you can do for me?? Our flight was delayed 14 hours and all you can do for me is a $12 meal voucher???!

Summary: @AmericanAir delayed my flight overnight (12 hours).Didn’t offer hotel accommodations and instead handed out pillows and blankets to sleep in airport.I paid $270 for cheapest available hotel (which was disgusting, see pics).AA later offered to pay only $131 of my $270

@AmericanAir I won’t change my mind. I would if I the customer service did the bare minimum and reimbursed me for my hotel expense. But you won’t.
