I love doing a custom pattern, so since this year’s theme was “Rooted in Tigers” I chose to incorporate trees tied to our program! You can find broad magnolias, bayou bald cypresses, Tiger Park palms, and Tiger Park itself!

I’ve said this before but: If a plane hit turbulence and the pilot panicked, aimed the nose to the ground and crashed, no one would say “Well, you try flying a plane in turbulence.” They would say “That is a bad pilot. That’s not how pilots should handle things.”

Do you know that ICE agents aren’t robots? They are HUMANS. Humans who are men and women doing a job that can be a very scary job. A job that has and always will be necessary. When they are put in a terribly scary position and they are already on edge TERRIBLE things happen that didn’t need to. NO ONE should be happy when terrible things happen. It’s sad. Life doesn’t happen in a slow motion video frame by frame to judge what SHOULD have happened. It happens quick. Kick the bees nest and the bees come. I’m greatly sad about all of this.

Great to be with Louisiana’s pro-rodeo royalty, Kade Sonnier and Waylon Bourgeois! Both of these men showcased Louisiana’s cowboy talent at the National Finals Rodeo last month. They have bright futures ahead and I am proud to have them representing our State. Other Louisianans who competed were Zach Jongbloed, Rowdy Parrot, Gavin Soileau, Shane Hanchey, Tyler Wageuspack, Cyle Dennison, and Josie Conner.
