@stephen_richer THree years ago we all had to get a travel ID. Nobody worried about whether or not it would be difficult for anyone. If you could do that, you can get an ID to vote, for cryin' out loud. (Of course, if you are a citizen, it should be a snap. You don't even have to re register.

@biancoresearch Jim, there's a lot of mixed messenging going around but my understanding is that the strait of hormuz is not being closed by Iran, but by insurance being dropped due to british/eu regulation requiring more capital for insurers. Seems that could be resolved rather easily...

Looking at Goldman Sachs Research gives a good timeline for thinking about the Strait of Hormuz
* March 4, Hormuz flows would recover in 5 days.
* March 9, they pushed that to 10 days
* March 11, they extended it again to 21 days of very low flows before a 30-day gradual recovery.
Goldman's thinking was similar to mine. On March 4th, I ASSUMED the US Military had an active plan to open the Strait.
Between March 4th and March 11th, my thinking (like Goldman's) evolved when we both realized they either had the wrong plan or no plan and are currently struggling to figure out what to do.
This is no longer a War with Iran
It is now a War to reopen the Strait of Hormuz

Arsenal strategy in recent years hasn’t been focused on create top youth teams which means they are not in the market for top players at youth level competing with Man City, Man Utd or Chelsea.
They have been focused on bringing one or two through. That has been the idea.

I'm sorry, but the fact that the US is deploying a MAGTF from Asia that's at least 2 weeks from action is strong circumstantial evidence that the White House did not think Iran would effectively close the Strait of Hormuz. It just is.

The White House is proposing a new, 33,000-square-foot underground screening center that would remake the experience of visiting/touring the White House.
Current visitors often have to go through temporary trailers or even tents to get screened to enter the White House.

My personal belief is that the President, his team, and the Israelis know far better than the press what is going on, and the press is so relentlessly, ruthlessly hostile to the Trump Administration that they're more likely to believe Iranian propaganda than that this is actually going well.
As I noted yesterday, the ordinance dropped is on pace to mirror Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom with a combined strike of about 1000 targets a day from the Israelis and Americans. That's pretty consistent.
The fact that the national press is barely even covering Homeland Security being shut down by Democrats in a time of war is just another data point.
If Obama were bombing Syria while the GOP had Homeland Security shut down, the GOP obstruction would be the primary story every day in the press.
But because it is Trump, the press is elevating the doubters, the haters, and the propagandists.
The press has a real bias in this.
